FPT Software develops application to serve 4.5 million users of Honda

Accompanying Honda since 2019, FPT Software has developed Honda+ application for customers of the Japanese motorcycle and automobile manufacturer. The application is to serve 4.5 million users in Vietnam.

During its 25 years in Vietnam, Honda Vietnam has constantly developed and become one of the leading companies in the field of motorcycle manufacturing and a prestigious automobile manufacturer in the Vietnamese market.

In the traditional way of operation, Honda – the leading car company in Vietnam – provides products that are motorcycles, cars, and repair and warranty services through sales and warranty centers called Honda Exclusive Authorized Dealers.

Honda intends to create a separate application called Honda+ for all Vietnamese people.

How did the team overcome the challenge?

First, with more than 60 million data records uploaded to the cloud, the FPT Software project team has introduced many technological improvements to enhance the efficiency of the search feature. The “tailoring” of products and applications at the request of customers is FPT Software’s strong point.

Thanks to technological improvements in linking and updating data to the Cloud, FPT Software has updated all data records to the AWS (Amazon) cloud computing platform, including database system updates and an efficient search system. The work was completed in 20 days, and continues to be updated and changed during use.

After launching the application, FPT Software will continue to improve the application continuously. The team is constantly adding new features, maintaining and monitoring the app’s security for the client. One of the main features of the application is to remind the periodic maintenance schedule Accompanied by that is the feature to look up the addresses of Honda service centers, with a map of directions.

Up to now, Honda+ continues to be updated with promotional programs, marketing campaigns, lucky draws, and service vouchers for Honda customers. These activities attract new users and help Honda reach customers and interact directly with users of its vehicles.

The benefits customers receive

With a versatile application, customers and partners can access and own a digitalized version of their vehicle’s maintenance and repair history, the process of ensuring vehicle safety, and support for vehicle pricing.

For example, when it comes to user survey, instead of doing it the old way by handing out paper forms, now things can be done electronically and the volume of data collected from electronic survey is way larger than that done in the traditional way.
