Employers and FSOFT candidates must turn on camera during interview
Online interviews are a trend after the effects of the epidemic. Most of the interviews at FSOFT are conducted through online platforms with undeniable advantages and disadvantages. To adapt and enhance the experience, from January 2022, recruiters and candidates at FSOFT are required to turn on the camera when participating in an interview.
The online recruitment and interview process brings many advantages to the parties involved, saving time and travel costs, making connections and keeping in touch with candidates quickly wherever they are. However, there are also some obstacles that both employers and candidates recognize in this process.
Many candidates or recruiters don’t turn on the camera, so the two sides do not know each other’s faces, thereby limiting communication and making it difficult to catch up to openly share and get to know each other. It is difficult for candidates to express their personality, style, body language, etc., just as it is difficult for employers to express the culture and atmosphere in the company’s environment.
Currently, FPT has also stipulated that “employees must turn on the camera when meeting online”. Therefore, FWA has proposed to issue a new regulation related to the requirement to turn on the camera during interviews and apply from January 2022.
The fact that the candidate and the employer turn on the camera during the interview will be very beneficial for both parties, facilitating the company to select employees more accurately and creating trust in the candidate in the process of learning about FSOFT.
“We also see most of the ads using real people, the reason is that when the face is accompanied by the voice, it will be more convincing and easier to get into the heart of people. In addition, turning on the camera during the interview also helps create a connection between the candidate and the employer, the two sides have the opportunity to learn more about each other. Many candidates were inspired by meeting the ‘Dream Interviewer’ and decided to join FSOFT,” shared Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Bich – Head of FWA.
With the requirement to turn on the camera when participating in interviews and meetings, both the employer and the candidate need to prepare a proper outfit, arrange the surrounding space neatly or install the appropriate background; thereby creating an active state, ready to exchange work at any time, helping to increase work efficiency and effectiveness.
