Korean BrSE – Give wings to dream of becoming bridge engineer
On May 13, the closing ceremony of the Korean BrSE course was held at F-Ville 2. This course was organized by FPT Software Academy and FPT University. It is expected to train professional bridge engineers, providing FSOFT in general and FPT Korea in particular with high-quality human resources in the future.
KS Program is a Bachelor of Information Technology with a major in software engineering for the Korean market. The course is developed exclusively for FPT University students who are studying to become Bridge System Engineer (BrSE). The goal of this course is to train students in both specialized knowledge and the Korean language in through scholarships. After this training program, the top students will have the opportunity to work in Korea or join for FSOFT.
On May 13, the closing ceremony of the batch 1 of the Korean Bridge Engineer training program – Korean BrSE, took place after nearly 4 months of teaching and studying. The event had the participation of 21 students from FPT University, FA representatives and many lecturers from FSOFT and FPT University.
Opening the closing ceremony was a speech by Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Hang – Head of Northern Training Department of FA. Ms. Hang thanked the students for their continuous efforts in the past time and hoped that they would continue to prepare well for their career journey. “I have a concern that in the near future, the students may forget the Korean that they have learned, and will not be able to take the TOPIK 3 exam. Therefore, even after this course, the FPT Software Academy will continue to support students to the fullest through regular communication with the hope that all students here will graduate from the program at FPT University”, Ms. Hang reminded the students.
Following the event was a summary of the praiseworthy achievements that the students had achieved: 95% of the students graduated; 80% of the students got A/A+; 50% of the students got excellent results in Korean.
Ngo Thi Ngoc Mai – the Vice-Class, said, “Because I love Korea and see the opportunity to develop on my career path, I have chosen to major in Korean Bridge Engineering. Even though it was my first time learning Korean, I didn’t have too many difficulties because the lecturer was very enthusiastic and attentive. Besides, I was also given a 100% scholarship by FSOFT, so my study expenses were greatly reduced. My future plan is to work at FSOFT and if I’m lucky, I can even go onsite in Korea.”
This course is the beginning of a close cooperation between FPT Software Academy and FPT University. Hopefully in the future, FSOFT will recruit talented candidates from the Bridge Engineering market in general and from FPT University in particular.
