The second batch of international students officially “launched” their journey at FSOFT
On September 11, the 2nd batch of talented internation students from Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia officially “launched” their journey at FSOFT through the DayOne course. From then, they will start their journey to explore and work at FSOFT in the framework of the Global Internship 2023 program.
According to the arrangement by the Global Internship 2023 Project Committee, they will intern at the following units: FHN.TCS, FSO.QAI, FSO.AIC, and GHC.DHM.
On the recent DayOne journey, the talented student group had the opportunity to visit various interesting destinations. They toured the headquarters of the FPT Corporation – the FPT Tower on Pham Van Bach Street and Hola Park – the leading CodeCation campus, known for its green and modern environment in the APAC region. They also indulged in some delicious Vietnamese cuisine, savoring the rich flavors of the country. Of course, an essential part of the journey was to acquire initial information about the working environment and information security regulations, as well as preparing themselves for the upcoming activities in learning, research, work, and cultural experiences.
During this special DayOne event, Deputy Director of FPT Software Academy, Mr. Nguyen Van Vinh, shared his thoughts openly with the international students. He emphasized that FPT Software is an open and welcoming environment, always ready to embrace talented employees and students from various countries around the world for work and learning opportunities. He hoped that this internship at FPT Software would not only provide the students with diverse cultural and life experiences but also serve as a valuable stepping stone for their future careers. “Participating in international projects and connecting with the global IT community of FPT is a privilege for you in FPT Global Internship. I hope you have a memorable and successful internship season,” Mr. Vinh conveyed his wishes.
On their first visit to the FSOFT’s CodeCation Hola Park campus, Lim Yang Jun was overwhelmed by the lush greenery enveloping the entire building. Meanwhile, Justin Looi was impressed by the amenities available to the employees.
Right after this special DayOne session, the international student group will participate in a series of training sessions at the FPT Software Academy (FA). With 05 exclusive training workshops and Career Orientation sessions featuring the presence of experts from the company, FA expects that the interns will be well-prepared in terms of skills and knowledge, gaining a comprehensive understanding of development opportunities and learning possibilities at FPT/FSOFT. They will be ready to engage in On-the-Job Training (OJT) later on. On the afternoon of September 14th, the students will officially start working on projects.
Prior to that, as soon as they landed at Noi Bai International Airport on September 9th, the HRPR, FUN, FA, and buddy teams closely monitored and assisted the students in various activities, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. This played a crucial role in bringing the students closer together and fostering a positive impression of FSOFT’s people.
