Let’s travel with F family members on China’s National Day!
Recently, China welcomed an 8-day long holiday to celebrate National Day. Let’s discover what exciting experiences the F family members have had during this long vacation!
Going back in time
On October 1, 1949, at the historic Tiananmen Square, Chairman Mao Zedong officially established the People’s Republic of China in the presence of hundreds of thousands of people under the new national flag. This declaration ended 22 years of Chinese civil war, completely ended the feudal era, and opened a new chapter for this country.
To commemorate this important event, China decided to observe October 1 as National Day. Since 1999, the holiday has been expanded into a 7-day national holiday.

How is National Day celebrated here?
National Day will be celebrated by China, Taiwan, and Macau. Traditionally, this holiday will begin with a flag-raising ceremony at Tiananmen Square in Beijing, the center of all festivities. The week before, the square will be brightly decorated with flags, flowers, and portraits of prominent leaders in history.
For people, the National Day holiday is considered a “golden week” for traveling, shopping, and returning home to visit family. Common activities here include going to amusement parks, shopping centers, historical sites,… to fully enjoy the vacation before returning to work.

“Let’s get going” with the F family in China!
This year’s 8-day vacation is an opportunity for the F members to immerse themselves in the joyful National Day atmosphere and visit the beautiful sceneries of this country. Going to the temple, climbing mountains, cycling,… are activities that people choose to relax after stressful working days, and of course, delicious traditional Chinese dishes are indispensable to “recharge energy”.
“I always look forward to this vacation every year to have more time for myself, family, and friends!”, shared Amy (FPT Nanning).
