Recapping the remarkable figures of FPT Global Internship 2023
100% of international talent interns are willing to share about FPT Global Internship 2023 with their international friends, with an average satisfaction score of 4.9 out of 5. This index shows that the program has made a strong impression on international interns, which is a positive sign for the project team to continue organizing the program on a larger scale in the coming years.
According to statistics, as soon as it was launched on all media platforms, the program attracted over 1,100 international students from 75 countries around the world to register. After several rounds of interviews, 10 talented students from Singapore, South Korea, Malaysia, and Indonesia were selected to participate in a 2-month internship at FSOFT Vietnam.
The international interns were divided into 2 batches, with the support and guidance of 9 buddies and 10 mentors. Batch 1 was from August 7 to September 29, at the units FHN.DNA, GST.DNA and FHO.FST, while Batch 2 was from September 19 to November 2, at the units FSO.AIC, GHC.DHM, FSO.QAI and FHN.TCS.
Aspiring Career with Dreamlike Prerequisites
Welcoming the group of international interns, 23 projects related to Data, Cloud, AI, IoT, Embedded, Software Development, and so on were ready to open their doors to help international interns have many choices when officially “landing” at FSOFT.
To prepare the best professional knowledge before actual OJT at the projects, the group of interns completed 40 hours of training on Udemy and participated in special training sessions designed by FSOFT Academy, revolving around topics such as: How to work at FSOFT, Software Development Processes, Agile Project Management, and so on.
According to the assessment of the interns themselves, the opportunity to intern at units with a variety of fields is valuable for them to access new technologies, accumulate experience, develop skills, and professional knowledge, and expand connections in the IT industry.
Speaking about this, Diko Kintarenji – an intern at FHO.FST said that the FPT Global Internship 2023 helped him realize his goal of expanding his network with FPT IT engineers, mentors, and professional advisors around the world. This precious asset is a solid stepping stone for Diko to confidently join FPT’s foreign branch with the role of a true FSOFTer. Diko has officially become a member of the FSOFT branch in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Adli Naufal – a computer engineer from Malaysia, said that the FPT Global Internship 2023 allowed him to learn and apply C/C++ and Java languages directly to the project. This is the premise for him to pursue deeper embedded technology and IoT. With practical experience, Adli is ready for his graduation thesis and to face the challenges ahead.
For Han Byeol – the only girl in the group of interns, the biggest achievement she gained from the program was her teamwork skills in a specific project environment. FPT’s open environment helped Han easily connect and discuss many work issues with friends and colleagues. This is also the reason why Han joined FPT Korea immediately after returning home. In addition, she also gained advanced skills in ADF, ETL, Power BI, SQL, and Data Transformation to serve her goal of becoming a Data Engineer in the future.
Glorious Satria Dhamang Aji was responsible for a part of the work in the myFPT project at GST.DNA. After 2 months of internship, the Indonesian student said that he had enriched his experience in creating APIs, database management, security, and many other aspects of Software Engineering.
Enriching life and cultural experiences
According to the report, the FPT Global Internship 2023 brought international interns to a series of tourist destinations throughout the North of Vietnam, such as Hanoi, Hai Phong, Yen Bai, Ha Giang, Cao Bang, etc. Each trip was meticulously designed by the FUN, EX HRPR, and delivery units. In addition, they participated in over 15 major and minor events at FPT, such as FPT 35th Anniversary, FPT Techday, Special Market, Women’s Day 20/10, Mid-Autumn Festival, and Mountainside Charity, etc. In addition, there were countless interesting experiences in everyday life when accompanying a team of young, enthusiastic, and caring buddies.
After experiencing continuously and densely the quality programs, Indonesian intern Satria had to exclaim, “The experience of 2 months at FPT seems to be equivalent to 10 years combined.”
Not only were they “thrown into” high-tech projects, challenging themselves with difficult problems, but the group of international interns also had the opportunity to “work-life blend” – combining work and leisure at the very place of internship. Impressed by this, Adli Irhaam said: “FPT not only has a cool, modern working environment but also has a variety of recreational activities. Combining work and leisure in this way helps me have a good spirit and energy to complete the work.”
Wandering at many tourist destinations in the North of Vietnam, meeting a variety of FSOFTers from many countries around the world, and enjoying traditional Vietnamese dishes… are the sounds that international interns still linger on. “Delicious food and the interesting cultural stories behind each dish make me incredibly curious. If I have another chance, I will learn more about Vietnamese cuisine,” Satria shared.

At the end of the internship, 2 international interns from batch 1, Diko Kintarenji and Han Byeol, joined FPT Korea and FPT Indonesia, respectively. Also through this program, FPT established partnerships with 18 top 10 universities in Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia.
These are the prerequisites for the FPT Global Internship 2023 project team to continue to build a new quality and effective internship season to attract talented young people from all over the world, contributing to raising awareness of students and international IT teams about FSOFT while promoting the image of FSOFT to the international IT community.
