The primary objectives of Konica Minolta FPT Solution Lab include enhancing profitability, fostering global collaboration, attracting talent, and expanding development scope. The rapid changes brought about by the Digital Transformation (DX) trend have impacted working environments, workflows, and work styles. Multifunction Printers (MFPs), acting as IoT document processing devices, are increasingly utilized for various purposes, requiring continuous upgrades and support for installed MFP functionalities at customer locations.
By forming a joint venture with FPT, Konica Minolta aims to optimize the software development process to quickly meet the diverse needs of global markets and continue providing solutions for workplace challenges.
Konica Minolta also hopes to maintain and enhance its ability to deliver value to customers while boosting investment development efficiency. According to FJP CEO Đỗ Văn Khắc, this joint venture will strengthen FPT’s reputation in Japan, promising more joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in this challenging market in the future.
The establishment of the joint venture between FJP and Konica Minolta is seen as a strategic move to optimize the software development process for Multifunction Printers (MFPs). This marks FSOFT’s second joint venture in Japan after the LTS joint venture established in 2022.
