FSOFT Vietnam will settle the Personal Income Tax (PIT) for the year 2023 starting from February 19
The HRPR department is preparing for the tax settlement for the year 2023, commencing on February 19. FSOFT employees are advised to stay informed to coordinate necessary activities.
Individuals required to settle taxes include residents with income from salary, wages, business income with taxes payable exceeding the deducted or temporarily paid amount; or individuals requesting tax refunds or offsets for the following period. Residents are defined as those present in Vietnam for 183 days or more in a Gregorian calendar year or continuously for 12 months starting from the first day present in Vietnam. Arrival and departure dates are based on immigration authorities’ passport records.

Individuals can settle taxes through two methods: directly with the tax authorities or by authorizing the company if conditions are met.
Tax settlement plan for PIT in 2023 at FSOFT Vietnam:
- February 19-23, 2024: FSOFT employees confirm authorization for tax settlement through the designated tool.
- February 1-3, 2024: HRPR notifies employees of the upcoming year’s income.
- March 1-7, 2024: Employees verify income information, personal details, and dependent information, providing feedback to HRPR for any changes or additions.
- From March 2024 salary: Implement tax collection and refunds.
- From March 10, 2024: Issue PIT deduction certificates for employees choosing to settle taxes independently.
