When in Vietnam, FSOFTers can enjoy the lush surroundings of CodeCation Campus, which offers a range of health and mental care amenities. And even in our overseas offices, the company ensure that all the employees have access to state-of-the-art facilities. FSOFT have strategically chosen to establish their global offices in cities that serve as the financial and technological hubs of their respective countries. Some other locations are situated in more distant areas, making it a bit challenging to cater to the local clientele, such as Okinawa in Japan.

Before being a part of FPT Malaysia in 2021, Dinh Hai Yen had had the privilege of collaborating with Tran Hong Chung, the CEO of FPT Malaysia.

“I am fascinated by the accomplishments of FPT/FSOFT in this country, which is often referred to as “Asia in miniature”, said Yen. In the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Yen and her colleagues work in an A-class office, just a 10-minute walk from the country’s most famous building, the 88-iconic Petronas Twin Tower.

In Yen’s eyes, the FSOFT office in Malaysia has always been a great source of energy. Optimally designed spaces with minimal but scientific thinking help people get better concentration. But that is not why the office lacks energy and creativity.

“There were evenings filled with extended work hours; the bustling city illuminated with lights, as the window curtains were drawn back, revealing its captivating views in the distance. The view of the sparkling lights extending from the Petronas Twin Towers was truly breathtaking. The stunning image always compels me to pause and admire the scenery”, Yen remarked.

“I believe that the office is more than just a place to work while sitting down. It requires support to help balance emotions and rejuvenate people’s energy. We created a convenient pantry area where you can easily prepare your own coffee and drinks. Additionally, we incorporated a compact connected screen that allows you to access a virtual golf course, providing a seamless and relaxing experience for everyone”.

The FPT Malaysia offices are home to a diverse team of professionals, each with their own unique set of skills and personalities. From developers and testers to UI/UX designers and sales and presales representatives, our staff members bring a wealth of expertise to their respective roles. “We are committed to working with a strong sense of responsibility, while also embracing our creativity and freedom,” Yen expressed.

In the land of Kimchi, Le Phuong Thao, an employee at FPT Korea, does not hesitate to share her enthusiasm for her workplace daily. It is truly a joy to sit at the desk and have a direct view of the Korean River, the inner city’s largest flowing river, and the beautiful Yeouido Hangang Park that extends alongside it. “It is not just a figment of my imagination; it is a genuine source of comfort for my senses; it brings peace to my mind”, Thao said.

That is one of the things that excite her to come to the office every day. Working in the center of the city, with many famous landmarks and traditional Korean cultural activities, FKR staff can spend their lunch breaks seeing peach blossom, cycling, or camping in the Spring, and enjoying fireworks in the Autumn etc. These activities generate fresh and energetic energy for the FSOFTers.

“It came as a surprise to many of FPT Korea’s clients when a company from Vietnam decided to rent offices for nearly 200 employees in the most upscale Yeouido area of Seoul”, Thao remarked. Additionally, FSOFT have established 2 offices in Seoul.

FSOFT’s strategic approach involves setting up offices in the heart of financial and technology hubs. This allows them to connect with “whale” customers and access valuable resources in each region. The offices prioritize fostering a dynamic working atmosphere that encourages collaboration among onsite employees and facilitates the smooth integration of local personnel into the FPT/FSOFT culture from the start.

“Every FSOFT workplace, whether it is in South Korea or Vietnam, has a unique ambiance that leaves us with personal thoughts and emotions. The little things, like a morning cup of coffee or happy hours, all the way up to the annual celebrations, are how I sense the attention that FSOFT pays to its employees”, Thao shared.

Across the globe, Nguyen Viet Cuong (FPT Americas) made the bold decision to relocate his entire family to the United States just one month after arriving in the new country. “Having previously worked at FHN, I could not help but notice the breathtaking views from FSOFT’s offices in Los Angeles and Atlanta. Despite being in different locations, these offices still manage to create a warm and inviting atmosphere, reminiscent of the familiar scents on campus in Vietnam”, Cuong said.

In the United States, offices do not have thousands of employees like in Vietnam, but they are always ready to “pick up new shirts” on every holiday in Vietnam or America. That is what makes the on-site employees feel like they are always valued and cared for. And it is also the time when the employees at FAM are more connected to each other, bonding over the joys of life.

Cuong mentioned his fortunate experience of working on-site in 3 different countries, which gave him a unique perspective on the opportunities provided by FSOFT to their staff. Through their encounters with different cultures, individuals, and interactions with customers and friends, their perspectives on the vibrant tapestry of the world have broadened significantly.

“Every country tells a story, a journey filled with memories and experiences that make ourselves and our traveling companions feel excited and constantly want to ‘carry backpacks and go’ whenever you have the chance,” says the C99 Program’s Solution Architect.

In contrast to the Americans’ openness, the Japanese embody a modest, meticulous, and nuanced image. Nguyen Quoc Viet is employed at the Nagoya office, which is one of FSOFT’s 16 research and delivery centers located in Japan’s most bustling urban and commercial districts. The offices here prioritize providing FSOFTers with modern amenities and facilities, ensuring convenient mobility for meeting and exchanging with customers and partners.

Viet’s typical working day starts with a morning strolling to the workplace. His apartment is conveniently situated within a short walking distance from FPT Nagoya. By going through the underground passage that links the station to the building’s lower level, he can reach his workplace shielded from the elements. Located on the 11th floor of the Lucent Tower, the office provides a pleasant environment for Viet and his colleagues to start your day, basking in the gentle rays of Japanese sunshine.

“In the morning, we usually have the habit of loading a drink, sometimes we have to think about choosing a drink in the pantry because there is a lot of food and beverage. By midday, my colleagues and I enjoy a meal at the establishments located below the building, take a leisurely break playing chess, and then resume our work. Over the weekend, there will be exciting opportunities for team building or small groups to discover new locations in the Sakura flower country,” he said with great enthusiasm.

After gaining experience at another Japanese companies, Viet observed that Japanese companies prioritize fostering a professional and tidy work environment for their employees. “That is one of the methods they can enhance their efficiency, but it is quite distinct from FSOFT”.

“I used to work remotely, only go to the office regularly for about 4 months. But I feel comfortable and enjoyable that comes from other Vietnamese colleagues, the space of mind or the joint activities… And I understand that all of those factors will help me, and my colleagues have more motivation to grow. This is different from the Japanese companies. Foreigners growing in their businesses encounter many difficulties and barriers, and at FSOFT we see opportunities when we try and try enough”, he said.

“If you look at the place where we started our work as a new book, some choose to write a diary, some choose to paint, and others choose to draw graphs. Whether it is a year, 5 years, or 10 years of drawing or writing on the pages of the booklet, it is from the perspective of each of you that FSOFT will continue to strive to provide opportunities for experience and self-development for each employee. Every new horizon, every new land brings exciting experiences. At FSOFT, those new things are always present, only waiting for FSOFTers to explore itself.” – Dinh Hai Yen (FPT Malaysia).
