Becoming a part of FSOFT after M&A deals, each foreign employee not only “transforms” their way of working but also integrates into the culture, bringing diversity to a “Global, World-Class” company.

Sam Adolphine joined FPT Software in December 2021 as Head of the Accounting Department for FPT/Intellinet. In addition to his primary responsibilities of financial planning and analysis, technical support for customers and partners, as well as balancing budgets and financial reporting, Sam has seamlessly coordinated with new colleagues at FAM and FSOFT to ensure accurate data synchronization.
Recalling the first time he came to the Dallas office and met members of FAM’s Accounting department, Sam was both nervous and excited. “Getting to know my colleagues in Dallas is a chance to build strong relationships with them, which I am excited about. The team was incredibly welcoming, considerate, and eager to give me a tour of the office,” he said.
Although the initial experience was not much, it helped Sam feel some of the “quality” of FPT. Having lunch with his colleagues at the office, he had the opportunity to talk and learn about the roles of each member.
Sam said, “It’s fascinating to note that there are some similar fruits in my home country and Vietnam, even though they’re identified by different names. It’s a great feeling to know that my contributions are appreciated and respected by all.”
Entering 2024, Sam looks forward to meeting colleagues from many different business units, as well as participating in training courses to improve his skills and knowledge. From there, he hopes to contribute to the growth and success of FPT globally.

Like Sam, Jonathan Robert Mark Lindblom (FAM.SBD.MKT) quickly integrated into the new environment thanks to the friendliness of FPT colleagues.
A special feature of FAM is that the personnel are scattered in different states, but that does not mean that everyone is “disconnected”. When he first started working at FPT, John had the opportunity to fly to the Atlanta office and discuss work directly with his colleagues here.
During his work, he always received enthusiastic support from each member and quickly felt the connection from everyone. Thanks to the support from departments and the internal Marketing team – John’s department, the anniversary of cooperation between FAM and customer COX was successful beyond expectations. Above all, “Rookie” John and the new team members had time to bond when working together to overcome difficulties in planning to organize the event.
John realized the collaboration between FPT and FPT/Intellinet holds immense value. By working together, they can plan, agree on direction, and improve the optimal working process for each department.
In June 2014, FSOFT’s acquisition of RWE (the largest energy group in Germany)’s IT department was finalized, subsequently resulting in a name change to FPT Slovakia (FSK). This business transaction added 281 German and Slovak employees to FSOFT, making it one of the first Vietnamese IT companies to be headquartered in Europe. Initially, local employees in Slovakia were skeptical of the acquisition.
“Joining FSOFT after the acquisition of RWE Slovakia was like entering a new adventure without knowing what was waiting ahead, at that time I was both nervous and excited,” Mr. Ondrej Hugan (FSK. ERP) said. Sharing the same feeling, Mr. Tibor Gujdan (FSK.ICE) confided: “At that time I was quite skeptical, I wondered how a Vietnamese technology company could develop strongly in this European market.”
FSK’s Board of Directors has made timely strategic adjustments to the group’s focus, emphasizing skills training for local managers, and managing the company with an open culture. This includes using software tools to encourage employees to freely discuss problems and foster the FPT, team, and entrepreneurial spirit in each employee. These changes mark a new chapter in FSK’s history.
“It can be said that I was extremely surprised with FSK’s rapid changes. We, who were once domestic suppliers, have been pushed into the global arena, forced to adapt to new technology and needs. This has made me overcome my limits, cultivate and learn new professional skills, thereby promoting myself to team leader, becoming a bridge between FSOFT and key customers RWE/EON, currently I am proud to lead the Innovation Center of Excellence area at FSK”, Mr. Tibor Gujdan (FSK.ICE) confided.
For members joining FSOFT after M&A, the period of getting acquainted with integrating and developing is a short but extremely impactful process. “Thanks to this transition, we learned to adapt with flexibility, proactive thinking and focus on attracting new customers instead of depending on existing customers like before. It can be said that FSOFT is a giant leap forward on the path of career development as it has brought me countless opportunities and experiences I never thought of. Twice I was able to visit Vietnam and now I have been appointed as Unit Manager, leading a group of talented IT experts”, Mr. Ondrej Hugan excitedly shared.

Sam discovered that the working environment and culture of employee engagement at FPT positively impacted work productivity after two years of employment. With the “one team” spirit, cooperation and support were encouraged, which contributed to the success of all team members.
During a business trip to Dallas, he and his colleagues spent time volunteering at a Community Organic Vegetable Farm, cleaning and harvesting agricultural products to donate to the local community. This activity allowed everyone to contribute to the community while also fostering deeper understanding and connection among team members. The “one team” spirit, a core cultural value of the F people, was strengthened as a result.
Last year, Sam had the pleasure of attending the Giga Run event held at the Atlanta office in celebration of FPT’s 35th birthday and towards FSOFT’s 25th anniversary. The event was incredibly meaningful for him as he connected with his colleagues and contributed to the strength and determination of FSOFT employees in achieving their billion-dollar goals. Sam appreciated FSOFT’s efforts in promoting team spirit by organizing special events that brought members from all over the world together. Looking forward, he hopes that FPT culture will continue to be celebrated in the US through events like those held in Vietnam.
As for John, the working culture at FPT is one of the best cultures he has ever encountered. “I am very proud to be a part of FAM and FPT/Intellinet. The values that the company brings have helped everyone understand the importance of their role in working together to achieve common goals,” Mr. John shared.
FSOFT’s employee engagement activities provide a fulfilling experience for its employees, including John. In addition to bonding activities at the office, global events and competitions such as FSOFT FIFA 2023 offer opportunities for exchange and healthy competition with colleagues worldwide. John was impressed by how the organizers planned this competition and is excited to attend many more global engagement events in the future.

Participation in cultural activities such as the Happy Giga Run, Happy Tour and FPT’s 35th Birthday has made the members of the Slovakian house feel the energy of the orange-shirted warriors no matter where they are in the world.
By the end of 2023, FSOFT continues to succeed in a series of M&A deals with Canal Peak, Intertec International (acquiring strategic IT Services segment), Landing AI, AOSIS, etc. These deals not only motivate FSOFT to expand on the international stage, but also allow FSOFT’s “GEN” to attract a more diverse group of global employees with varying cultural backgrounds and working styles.

The success of M&A deals is not solely based on business growth but also the individual accomplishments of each member after joining a new organization.
