International Interns Shine at Mini Hackathon: Applying AI to Improve Productivity
Through the Global Internship Program 2024, talented international interns have had the opportunity to accumulate essential skills and problem-solving mindsets through diverse practical projects, applying cutting-edge technologies. Recently, two international interns, Fabien Pineau and Seoungyeon Han, participated in a Mini Hackathon themed “Applying AI to Improve Productivity” at GHC.
Participating in the Mini Hackathon, the interns didn’t just learn theory but gained hands-on experience. They pushed their limits, discovered simple yet effective approaches, and learned to leverage AI tools to optimize work processes.
Notably, team Capybara, comprising the two international interns and buddy Nguyen The Thang (ThangNT34), impressively clinched third place overall. This achievement demonstrates the contestants’ ability to transcend boundaries, apply straightforward yet efficient methods, and utilize AI tools to streamline workflows.
Mr. Tran Dinh Cung, BUL GHC.DHM, emphasizes: ”AI does not replace humans but is a powerful support tool. The future lies in the combination of humans and AI, creating superior productivity and creativity.”
Fabien Pineau shared: “The Mini Hackathon was an inspiring and dynamic experience. We explored the boundless potential of AI in boosting productivity. The event not only fostered collaboration but also enabled us to swiftly transform ideas into tangible products.”

Seoungyeon Han felt her professional skills improved through the competition: “The contest broadened my understanding of integrating AI into real-world applications. I learned to balance AI features with user-friendly design while honing problem-solving skills in a high-pressure environment.”
With support from the unit, professional mentors, buddies and DCE.EX, interns in the FPT Global Internship Program 2024 have acquired crucial skills and knowledge, laying a solid foundation for their careers in the IT field.
