FSOFT set the new record in FPT’s history with a 225 Million USD project with the US client
After 5 years of partnership, FSOFT has once again demonstrated its capabilities and solidified its position as a long-term strategic partner with a new $225 million contract. This is the largest contract in FPT’s 36-year history. “Numbers hold relative significance at each point in time, but this significant contract is a measure of the trust and confidence that clients place in FPT,” shared FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh.
The project also marks a shift in the collaboration model with the client, moving from Time & Materials (T&M) to Managed Services. Spanning three years, the project will involve over 1,000 FSOFT experts across onshore, nearshore, and offshore teams. FSOFT will oversee the management of the client’s entire IT system, encompassing 75 software solutions, ensuring consistency and high performance across all operations. The service scope extends to key areas such as platform architecture, development, and maintenance, with a focus on Salesforce and ServiceNow platforms.
This will enable the client to concentrate on business development strategies. Additionally, the Managed Services model requires higher standards for output management and work efficiency, especially with resources drawn from offshore service centers. Key members to the success of this landmark contract include FSOFT SEVP Dang Tran Phuong, Mr. Garth Hamilton (FAM.SOL), Mr. Suneel Joseph (FAM.ST9), Mr. Jaywanth Vijayapuri (FAM.ST9), Mr. Le Tran Nguyen (FAM.ST13), Mr. Hoang Manh Ha (FAM.ST9), Ms. Do Dieu Ha (FAM.ST9), Mr. Nguyen Tat Dac (FAM.ST9), Ms. Hoang Thi Thuy Linh (FAM.ST9), Mr. Partin William (FAM.ST9), Mr. Mark Seeley (FAM.ST13) and the core teams at onshore, nearshore, and offshore.
FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh proudly stated, “This contract is not just a commercial success but a testament to FPT’s capabilities on the international stage. Reflecting on the start of this journey in 2020, amid the outbreak of Covid-19, we all faced immense challenges. However, during such times, FPT showcased its resilience and rapid adaptability. Achieving this contract required not only creativity and technology but also highlighted Vietnamese intellect making its mark on the global digital landscape.” Ahead of the major challenge, Dr. Binh encouraged project members to maintain their team spirit, stay creative, resilient, and continuously strive. “This is a great opportunity but also a significant challenge. We work not just for results but for the pride and aspiration of reaching the world. I wish all team members good health, steady determination, and the passion needed to achieve even greater accomplishments,” FPT Chairman added.
Previously, FPT/FSOFT had achieved milestones in its collaboration with this client, such as rapid growth to 500 headcounts in record time and becoming the first client to generate 100 million USD annually for FPT/FSOFT.
Celebrating this “Level Up” milestone for FPT Americas, FSOFT Chairwoman Chu Thi Thanh Ha remarked: “Congratulations on setting a new record – the largest project in FPT’s history. This success is the result of the One Team spirit and the collaboration of all forces from onshore, nearshore, and offshore over the years. Despite challenges such as changes in the client’s senior leadership, including key roles like CTO, FPT/FSOFT’s contributions have been recognized and trusted. I hope FAM will replicate this successful model with other clients. Sales models, client relations, and delivery approaches will continue to expand not just in the US market but globally, advancing towards the 5 GIGA target and elevating FSOFT to world-class status.”
At the FPT TechDay 2024 press conference, FPT CEO Nguyen Van Khoa revealed that winning this major contract against a strong Indian competitor marks a significant milestone for FPT and a source of pride for Vietnam’s tech industry. “This victory further underscores the growth and rising capabilities of Vietnamese enterprises amid fierce international competition,” Mr. Khoa emphasized.
