FPT Philippines gears up for breakthrough growth after a decade of laying foundations
FPT Philippines (FPHI) recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, marking a significant milestone in its journey of growth and development. With a solid foundation and a team of over 250 experts, the unit is now ready to embark on a phase of accelerated growth and transformation.
Over the past three years, FPHI has navigated numerous challenges stemming from the global economic downturn. To adapt, the unit adjusted its workforce size and shifted its strategy towards more sustainable growth. One of the key strategic moves was market diversification, expanding its presence beyond the US, Canada, and Europe to Japan, Singapore, Australia, and South Korea, with the proportion of revenue from these markets increasing from 10% to 30%.
FPHI also transitioned from internal competition to intra-unit collaboration under a win-win model. Units such as FPHI.FA, FPHI.FIS, and FPHI.F1 have expanded their operations in the Philippines, replicating Vietnam’s successful operational model to capitalize on the vast potential of the BPO market. Additionally, FPHI strengthened its cross-selling efforts with FIS and is exploring future collaboration opportunities with FPT Smart Cloud.
With AI’s rapid advancement, FPHI views this as a golden opportunity to leap forward. With the Managed Services and BPO market in the Philippines reaching a staggering $35 billion in 2023, integrating AI into operations will enable FPHI to enhance efficiency and boost its competitive edge. The unit aims to embed AI into its operational processes while developing independent AI capabilities to serve clients better.
Looking ahead to 2025, FPT Philippines is committed to building a “be spoke” work environment, aiming to uniquely blend the cultural essence of Vietnam and the Philippines, fostering strong cohesion between employees from both nations. The unit will continue to replicate Vietnam’s successful models, focusing on developing specialized services to solidify its position as an indispensable link in FPT’s global supply chain. The target is to grow the workforce to 500 employees by 2026 and ultimately reach 1,000 employees within the next five years.
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary, FPT Philippines CEO Do Tran Anh Vu expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all current and former employees, saying: “Life is a journey of experiences – every year at FPHI brings new goals and exciting challenges. I hope that many of our team members will continue their journey with us for 10, 15 years and beyond, helping FPHI soar to greater heights.”
