FHM Hackathon 2025 sparks innovation with 28 AI Agents, pioneering the AI-First journey at FSOFT

The inaugural FHM Hackathon 2025, themed “Agent in Action”, has officially concluded after more than two months of implementation, leaving a strong mark on FHM’s journey toward its AI-First vision. With 28 AI Agents developed by over 200 FHM employees, the competition has become a launchpad for a culture of innovation and practical AI application.

The hackathon attracted 200 participants from 11 BUs, forming 43 teams with 43 AI Agent ideas. After two rounds of dynamic pitching, the organizing committee selected 28 standout ideas to advance to the final round, where teams presented creative, feasible, and real-world-ready solutions.

Ms. Nguyễn Thị Kim Liên, representing the judging panel, shared: “What stood out in this first season was the high technical quality, diversity of ideas, and clear practicality. From freshers to seniors, everyone demonstrated a strong learning spirit, quick AI adoption, and innovative thinking. This reflects the deeply rooted culture of creativity within FHM.”

The standout ideas from FHM Hackathon 2025 focused on building a battle-ready AI Agent ecosystem, directly addressing operational challenges at FHM. Notable agents include:

  • Pager Rescuer by team Car Buff: analyzes and reports incidents, suggests solutions, and reduces manual operations by up to 80 percent.
  • DB Migration MCP Agent by team EMU: automates database migration, ensuring integrity and reusable patterns.
  • AI.RunBuddy by team Actuos: builds a smart knowledge system for efficient data collection, approval, and search.
  • Cypress2Playwright Agent by team Sonic: supports QA in migrating testing frameworks using natural language, with self-testing and auto-fix capabilities.
  • EcoMesh: secures AI systems, prevents prompt injection, and protects sensitive data.

These AI Agent solutions not only reduce manual workload and improve efficiency for engineers but also promote a Human-led & Agent-operated working model — a strategic direction for FHM in its AI-First journey.

FHM Hackathon 2025 serves as a critical launchpad, with top-performing solutions set to be further developed to enhance performance, optimize costs, and expand applications — turning each Agent into a true operational tool. As AI takes on repetitive tasks, engineers gain more time to focus on creative and strategic work — the kind of value only humans can deliver.

Nguyễn Đức Hoàng, representing team Car Buff, shared: “Hackathon was a valuable opportunity for us to challenge ourselves, learn, and connect. Making it to the Top 5 and winning Best Presenter was a meaningful recognition that motivates us to continue developing and applying our product.”

The success of FHM Hackathon 2025 not only showcases the creativity of the team but also affirms FHM’s organizational capabilities, strategic direction, and ability to realize AI in practice. With 28 AI Agents developed and 5 standout ideas honored, the hackathon has laid the foundation for an AI Agent ecosystem made by FHM, ready to support production, operations, and project management.
