FSOFT Union joins hands to support employees’ families affected by floods and storms

In response to the severe impacts of storms and floods across many provinces in Northern and Central Vietnam, the FSOFT Union has swiftly taken action, assessed the damage and promptly launching support initiatives for 317 FSOFTers’ families affected by the disaster.

In recent days, continuous storms and floods have plunged many localities into hardship. Homes, farmlands, and schools have been devastated, and people’s lives have been upended. Among those affected, many FSOFTers and their families are also struggling to overcome the aftermath of these natural calamities.

With the spirit of “Sharing Together – Steadfastly Overcoming Challenges”, the FSOFT Union has sent out messages to all staff, calling for updates on damages to promptly provide support. As of now, the Union has recorded 317 cases of employee families impacted. Most damages involve property, crops, fishponds, and household facilities, and fortunately, there have been no casualties.

Among the affected areas, Nghe An has the highest number of impacted FSOFT families with 67 cases, followed by Ha Tinh with 52 cases. Other provinces such as Bac Ninh, Cao Bang, Ha Giang, Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Lao Cai, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Quang Tri, Son La, Thanh Hoa, and Tuyen Quang have also reported many FSOFT families affected by the disasters.

In parallel with financial support, the FSOFT Union is planning to organize charity programs directed towards the hometowns of affected employees. In the near future, volunteer groups are expected to visit these localities to deliver gifts, offer encouragement, and support both the employees’ families and local residents in flood-hit areas.

Currently, the FSOFT Union, in collaboration with FPT Corporation, is calling for contributions to the Hope Foundation – an organization co-founded by FPT and VnExpress – to support communities in flood-affected regions. The campaign “Together with the People Overcoming Floods” aims to assist residents and schools heavily impacted by natural disasters, helping them to rebuild their lives as soon as possible.

FSOFTers can scan the campaign’s QR code and specify the message “Name/FPT Account_Flood Relief,” or transfer directly to the Hope Foundation’s account – number 7300 7300 001 at Tien Phong Bank (TPBank) with the same reference. Donations will be accepted until October 17th. All contributions will be received, allocated, and transparently disclosed by the Hope Foundation to each affected locality, spreading the spirit of compassion – a sustainable value in the FPT family culture.

Every donation sent is a source of encouragement for those in flood-hit areas, helping them stay resilient after the disaster. This is also how FSOFT members spread the spirit of solidarity and sharing – the core values that define the identity of the Software family.
