FPT Software Quy Nhon welcomes the Cuder statue – continuing the cultural legacy of FPT people

On the afternoon of February 6, Mr. Bui Quang Ngoc – Member of the Founding Council and Vice Chairman of FPT Corporation – visited and presented the Cuder statue to the Quy Nhon Software branch. This is the 10th Cuder statue delivered across the system, marking another meaningful milestone in the ongoing journey of nurturing and preserving FPT’s cultural identity.

Cuder is a symbol representing the image of the humble, resilient, and intellectually driven programmer. With the familiar appearance of a diligent, agile, and intelligent “technology citizen,” the Cuder figure conveys the aspiration for continuous learning, perseverance, and creativity among every FSOFTer on their journey of mastering technology.

At the Cuder statue handover ceremony, Mr. Bui Quang Ngoc appeared in a traditional “áo vải cờ đào” costume, evoking the image of Emperor Quang Trung. Through this symbolic gesture, he emphasized the role of culture in the journey toward sustainable development, while expressing his expectation that FPT Software Quy Nhon will continue to preserve, inherit, and strongly promote its corporate cultural identity in the years ahead.

The Cuder statue is crafted from porcelain, requiring advanced techniques and a meticulous production process. To complete a single statue, artisans must go through at least three firing stages—from forming the kaolin ceramic body, glazing and firing at approximately 1,300°C, to final gold detailing and finishing at 800°C. The sculpting of the statue’s head alone required nearly ten iterations to achieve the desired aesthetics and expression.

The statue’s highlights also lie in its symbolic details. The base and staff are adorned with traditional patterns, reflecting respect for national heritage throughout the development journey. Meanwhile, the necklace and attire of Cuder feature binary digits 0 and 1—symbolizing information technology, digital transformation, and the role of technology in creating modern economic value.
