Annyeong Korea: A cultural signature of Korean at F-Town 3

Nearly 200 students from the Korean Bridge Software Engineer (BrSE) program immersed themselves in the vibrant Korean cultural festival, “Annyeong Korea,” held at F-Town 3 campus of FSOFT HCM.

Organized by FSA, this event was exclusively for BrSE students from FPT University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, and Pacific Ocean University. It aimed to connect students, share career opportunities, and inspire future BrSE “warriors” with dreams of living and working in the land of kimchi.

The event featured notable guests including Ms. Trần Thị Kim Phượng, Director of FSOFT HCM; Mr. Huỳnh Xuân Thi, Head of PMO at FKR; Ms. Nguyễn Thị Vọng, Head of EBS.OMD; Mr. Vũ Thanh Tuân, Head of FSA.CTA; and representatives from the partnering institutions.

“Annyeong Korea” was not just the name of the event but also a respectful greeting to Korean culture. Students had the opportunity to explore the “Concrete Waves” structure, a prominent architectural symbol of F-Town 3. The unique design, blending seamlessly with the lush natural surroundings, left students in awe and proud of their ideal working environment.

Following the campus tour, students gathered in the main hall where the Korean cultural feast was prepared. They donned Hanboks, transforming into elegant historical figures, and captured “so deep” moments at the unique photo corner. They also engaged in traditional games like slap-match and picture chase, savored Korean delicacies such as kimbap, kimchi, jjajangmyeon, and Jangsoo makgeolli rice wine, and immersed themselves in the rich flavors of Korea.

During the sharing session themed “Go Global with K-Culture,” the event guests provided students with valuable information, practical insights, and exciting job opportunities at FPT Korea. Ms. Trần Thị Kim Phượng, Director of FSOFT HCM, presented compelling statistics, highlighting the vision and goals of FPT and FSOFT, particularly the challenging 5 GIGA objectives.

The practical sharing from FPT Software’s seasoned managers offered precious stories and lessons about life and work in Korea, as well as detailed pathways to becoming bridge software engineers for students still in university. This served as a significant motivation for students in the BrSE program to confidently pursue their chosen future path.
