At FSOFT, the epitome of creativity is the birth of ideas based on technological ingenuity, meticulously harnessed to elevate project productivity, streamline business operations, and cultivate unwavering customer trust and satisfaction.

This is where the magic of intellectual property (IP) unfolds, originating from the innovative ideas of FSOFTers in their daily work. Initially, these resources’ ownership was stored individually by projects. By 2016, FSOFT embarked on creating a centralized repository – the Software and Knowledge Utilization (S.K.U) system to store these precious assets.

S.K.U is a system that helps store, share, and reuse resources (IPs, including libraries, modules, software products, and knowledge). It is t“e “golden ”ey” for FSOFTers to efficiently store, share, and reuse these assets, translating into tangible benefits: reduced costs, optimized resource allocation, accelerated timelines, enhanced project productivity, and unwavering quality. To date, FS’FT’s S.K.U boasts an impressive 10,239 IPs. In 2023 alone, S.’.U’s contributions resulted in cost savings of up to 11,500 MM, generating an economic value exceeding $ 17 million. In some cases, the S.K.U initiative has been implemented with certain customers.

The “creative spirit” at FSOFT extends far beyond a digital vault, it is also the constant updates for annual FSOFT and unit-level programs that ignite creativity and propagate the spirit of ingenuity, multiplying the impact of these invaluable tools and solutions across every project. Some prominent names like iKhiến, S.K.U Jam, S.K.U Go Mass, PM Contest, BA Day, Workforce Day, C99 Innovation, and Agile Innovation stand as testaments to this unwavering commitment.

The years 2022 and 2023 witnessed a surge in embracing new technologies to empower FSOFTers. Notably, the integration of AI into training programs, translation, communication, business production, and employee care have brought about novel approaches and propelled productivity to new heights. This serves as a powerful reminder that innovation can blossom anywhere, in any form, and contribute significantly to core objectives – maximizing project productivity and earning customer trust and satisfaction.

As CDO Vu Tien Dat aptly emphasized in a mid-2023 interview with the internal magazine Cucumbe“, “Increasing productivity is not an option;’it’s an imperative for every FSOFTer, every project, and every unit. By embracing a win-win approach that benefits the company, projects, and individuals, we collectively elevate ourselves to new heigh”s.” This philosophy resonates throughout FSOFT, with every individual and department prioritizing growth in productivity. By leveraging past innovations and fostering continuous creativity, sustainable and impactful progress is entirely achievable.

From 2024 onwards, the Internal Digital Transformation Division (iDX), the Tooling Development Division (FST), and the Productivity Improvement Division (PID) will unite under the banner of the FSOFT Digital Transformation and Operations Division (iDO). This strategic consolidation harnesses the combined strengths of each division, propelling innovation, and digital transformation towards achieving the ambitious 50K/person/year productivity target and the 5 GIGA goal chain.

In 2023, JPRO 3 was considered one of the largest projects in FSOFT’s history, boasting a remarkable scale of over 2,000 Billed Man Months (BMM) completed within a mere 6 months. Right from the outset, Project Commander Mr. Hoang Van Duong strategically leveraged Improvement Proposals (IPs) from the S.K.U (Software and Knowledge Utilization) resource repository to accelerate, enhance productivity, and gain full trust from a Japanese Pharmaceutical company.

With that, JPRO 3’s success hinged on the strategic deployment of source code generation, SQL generation from design, and progress management solutions. The source code generation tool played a pivotal role, driving a 15% increase in productivity and saving 120 MM (man-month). The progress management tool proved invaluable in ensuring adherence to deadlines by stakeholders across various FSUs and BUs, ultimately guaranteeing the project’s timely completion. Building on this success, the JPRO 3 project not only received praise but also paved the way for numerous lucrative collaboration opportunities with the pharmaceutical company. With impressive achievements, the project was mentioned in the prestigious “GIGA Warrior – Gold Class” award category.

Not only JPRO3, but thousands of other FSOFT projects are also reusing IPs from the S.K.U resource repository to improve productivity. As per PID’s report, in 2023, 2,208 projects leveraged IPs, saving 11,523.64 BMM, which translates to over 17 million USD – a staggering 5.34% of FSOFT’s total BMM. This achievement represents a monumental 137% increase in savings compared to 2022.

Together with S.K.U, iKhiến, the largest innovation playground in the FPT Corporation, is also the cradle for many initiatives. Throughout its 7 seasons, FSOFT have consistently positioned themselves at the forefront of the innovation movement. The company holds the distinction of leading the FPT Group in terms of both the number of initiatives submitted to the competition (2020, 2021, 2022) and the number of initiatives successfully implemented and scaled up (2023).

Not only winning consecutive championships and runner-up titles in the iKhiến competition, but many initiatives have also demonstrably translated into tangible results, generating real commercial value through practical application in production and operations. Notable initiatives include SSC Portal, X-Jobs Matching, Bookme, PEAR, Device Farm, MaaZ, automatic tax certificate printing solution, FPT Care insurance online claim tool, OKR Bot, HR Insight, akaAT, aka Trans, and more. The reality shows that many initiatives, originating from humble beginnings, are now marked as “Made by FSOFT,” spreading across various projects within the company, reaching FPT’s subsidiaries, and delivering ingenious solutions to the complex challenges faced by our global clientele.

Over 25 years of formation and development, FSOFTers continue to unleash the “innovation and creativity” DNA of the F family. This spirit is transmitted through generations with a strong belief that “everyone carries unlimited creativity within themselves”. Aiming for the 5 GIGA goal chain and becoming a world-class company, FSOFT will continue to leverage their precious genes, encourage, nurture, and cultivate useful initiatives through various outstanding programs. Together, FSOFTers will conquer new peaks.
