FSOFT always strive to ensure that every employee receives deserved recognition, as well as opportunities to explore and enhance their personal value. FSOFT is also the first technology company to own special commemorative days for various positions, from delivery department to back-office, igniting pride in the work they undertake at FSOFT. 

FSOFT has designated December 1st as Project Manager’s Day, following the first announcement of the PM ranking list and job descriptions for PM in the ‘PM – a journey’ program on December 1, 2007. This marks a significant milestone in recognizing the importance of the role of a Project Manager as well as evaluating the efforts for promotion and skill development of PMs. 

Attending Project Manager’s Day for the first time, Belle Wong – FSOFT Advisor, was pleasantly surprised by how FSOFT appreciates the project management team. “Unlike awarding all PMs in the same category, each participant of FSOFT’s Project Manager’s Day receives an award with different reasons. This shows that FSOFT values every effort, no matter how small, of each individual. Doing the work you love, dedicating yourself, and being recognized are the happiness of every employee when working. 

Honored at Project Manager’s Day 2019, Nguyen Manh Cuong (FHM.QAI) shared, “Although I have only taken on the PM position for a short time, I am very happy to be timely recognized by the company. This is also the motivation for me to continue working closely with colleagues and delivering large projects”. Sharing the same perspective, Pham Thuy Ha (FHM.AVI) believed that receiving the title the company awards further encourages her to strive harder, deserving the company’s recognition and encouragement. Besides, she also acknowledges that honoring FSOFT’s PMs not only makes the awardees proud but also serves as a moment for them to express their appreciation to their teammates who have accompanied them on their journey”. 

Since 2019, October 10th has been chosen as the annual day to express gratitude to the Human Resources Department. FSOFT proudly stand as the first and only technology company in Vietnam to organize a dedicated day for its workforce – the silent, courageous warriors who have and continue to contribute to building a happy, cohesive, and sustainably developing human resources team.

Joining FSOFT in 2020, Mr. Doan Ngoc Anh Vu (FWA.FRB) is not only a member of the organizing committee but has also actively participated in all four seasons of Workforce Day. According to Mr. Vu, love and pride for one’s work and workplace can be built from various factors. However, during events like Workforce Day, he gains even more confidence to persist in pursuing his passion and staying connected with FSOFT: ‘I think I must be a part of this place’, Mr. Vu shared.

Mr. Vu also believes that the workforce appreciation events organized at FSOFT have become significant motivation for young talents working in the Human Resources Department, like himself. ‘Every successfully organized event not only enhances my appreciation for the job but also strengthens my engagement with colleagues and inspires youngsters who are starting their journey, just like I did’, Mr. Vu remarked.

The training, along with recruitment efforts, plays a crucial role in providing and ensuring a high-quality workforce for the company. Due to their engagement in one of the ‘noblest professions’ and, like many other teachers in Vietnam, November 20th holds special significance for them – Vietnamese Teachers’ Day. At FSOFT, this day is celebrated as Trainer’s Day, providing an opportunity for the company and employees to express gratitude for the contributions of the in-house training team – those who are currently and have been playing a vital role in the robust development of FSOFT’s human resources. 

Before 2017, the comtor teams belonged to various delivery units. Many opinions within these groups expressed a desire to organize a day dedicated to comtors. However, it was not until the decision from FSOFT’s leadership to merge the comtor teams into a vertical industry organization that the idea of having a Comtor’s Day became a reality. Consequently, FSOFT chose September 30th each year – International Translation Day – as Comtor’s Day to honor and express gratitude to the comtor teams, making FSOFT the first software company in Vietnam to have a dedicated day for comtors. 

Originating from the first onsite trip of Mr. Nguyen Lam Phuong – Former Deputy CEO of FSOFT, to the United States on March 25, 2000, by since 2009, March 25th every year has become a day to honor and express gratitude to FSOFT’s Onsiter who actively engaged on various international fronts. Onsiter is the ‘face’ of FSOFT – the orange-shirted warriors bearing a significant responsibility, elevating the reputation of FPT and FSOFT globally. 

In 2002, FSOFT’s Process Day was established following the event where FSOFT became the first company in Southeast Asia to achieve CMM-4, securing a position in the list of the top 100 companies worldwide in Quality Management. This achievement marked FPT’s first-class ticket to enter the global software market. By 2008, FSOFT’s Process Day was renamed Quality Day, serving as an occasion to express gratitude and honor the QA team and those involved in the processes at FSOFT. 

Starting from 2021, departments within the Business Assurance have designated December 13th each year as ‘BA Day’ to honor and celebrate employees within the deparment. BA Day is an occasion to acknowledge the silent contributions, dedication, and enthusiasm of the employees in this sector. FSOFT currently has over 900 employees working in departments responsible for administrative tasks, paperwork procedures, human resources, resource management, accounting, legal affairs, organizational culture, infrastructure maintenance, and IT support. 

As a global company, FSOFT possess a diverse and multicultural workforce. Annual events serve as the ‘glue’ that binds everyone together, fostering camaraderie and providing fresh experiences within the workplace. Constant innovation in presentation, these events imbued with the distinctive ‘essence’ of FSOFT have transformed the technology environment from what may seem like a dry and cold realm of code into a vibrant and lively space. This has helped FSOFT create and maintain positive impacts on each employee, establishing itself as a characteristic and prideful culture. 

In any internal activity, whether cultural, artistic, or physical, FSOFT create opportunities for every FSOFTer to access and participate in a systematic and professional manner, fostering meaningful connections for each member. Through this, love and unity are further nurtured.

Introduced for the first time in early 2023, ‘VUI FEST’ has quickly become a hallmark of FSOFT’s spirit and culture. The event has left a lasting impression on FSOFTers with its energetic and vibrant atmosphere, fostering unity and providing a burst of energy, leading everyone into a new year full of luck and excitement. FSOFTers get to enjoy themselves to the fullest after a year of facing challenges together.

For Gen Z employees working at FSOFT, VUI FEST is not just a typical event for FSOFTers but also a pride when talking about the company they work for. Thuy Van (GHC.GOD), the FUN officer of GHC, shared her impression: ‘I have had the opportunity to attend many live shows, concerts, and large festivals, but truly, VUI FEST of FSOFT is an event with a unique allure for me’. When becoming a member of FSOFT and immersing herself in the festive atmosphere, experiencing the music, and feeling the connection between herself and the company, Van truly understands why many FSOFTers wish for VUI FEST to be held every three months.

‘FSOFT always give me the feeling of unleashing all my energy when participating in these events’ – she added. Van’s enthusiastic spirit not only energizes herself but also spreads positive vibes to those around her, making her one of the dynamic FUN officer at FSOFT HCM.

For Ngoc Nga (FCR.IB), VUI FEST is an opportunity to prove to FSOFT’s customers and partners what she has always boasted about FSOFT in every welcoming event at the campuses. Observations is the best teacher – attending FSOFT events further strengthens the image of a dynamic, youthful, and cohesive FSOFT in the eyes of our customers’. According to Nga, even though encapsulated within a single day, FSOFTers at various campuses across the country had complete experiences of chilling with colleagues, engaging in intense competition through a series of games, eagerly participating, feeling the suspense, exploding with joy, and truly reveling in the festive night. ‘Anyone who has participated in FSOFT’s VUI FEST at the campuses can clearly feel the codecation environment that FSOFT has built and developed. FSOFT is not just a workplace; it is a place to work and enjoy life’, Nga emphasizes. Once again, the event affirms the spirit of ‘Happy Employees, Happy Company’ at FSOFT, where employees are the most precious asset, and ‘VUI’ is the key to success. 

As one of the proud cultural features of FSOFT, Parents’ Day was first organized on November 19, 2006. Since then, every two years, in even-numbered years, FSOFT holds a gathering between parents and FSOFT’s managers, employees, fostering exchanges and visiting their children’s workplaces.  

The event has become a prominent feature among thousands of companies in the Vietnam, once again asserting the principle of placing people at the center, building a high quality working environment, and caring for the lives and families of FSOFTers. 

Holding the invitation letter sent via postal mail, Mrs. Minh Tho didn’t quite understand what was happening, even though her daughter Hoai Thu (HRPR.EX) had mentioned, ‘The company is going to invite mom to a parent meeting’. Initially thinking her daughter was joking, receiving the invitation with the line ‘Take your parents to work’ brought back emotions from the days of hard work raising her child: ‘Who would have thought my child has grown up and is working, yet still being invited to a ‘parent meeting’. Thinking about the days of raising my child, hoping for their growth, and eagerly awaiting when the teacher praised my child at school – it made both me and my husband felt touching’. For her, Parents’ Day at FPT Software is not just an event but surpasses expectations. ‘From just one program, we understand the company’s desire to do the best for their employees. Personally, I attend not only to see my child’s workplace but also to take pride in the fact that my child has grown up and matured’, gleamed Ms. Tho. 

For Mrs. Le Thi Ha, mother of Pham Hai Dang (FJP), participating in Parents’ Day left a lasting impression of the modesty of the leadership and the sincerity and warmth of F-family colleagues. Just as Dang, her son, described, everyone at FSOFT, from C-level to employees, cares for each other. The handwritten letters from her son was truly touched her: ‘Every year, I only look forward to this day to receive a letter from my son and from his company. It somewhat gives peace of mind to us to allow our children to pursue their passions far away’. 

Providing pride for parents is the ultimate spiritual goal that Parents’ Day strives to achieve. Reflecting on the experience of taking his mother to the company, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Bao (FHM.CMS) vividly recalls the image of his mother standing before a trophy and honor boards with his name, right where he works every day. Similarly, for Hoai Thu (HRPR.EX), Parents’ Day is an opportunity for her to relive childhood emotions. ‘Normally, my mother and I rarely express affection for each other, so on that day, holding my mother’s hand to sing together, being embraced tightly – I felt truly happy. When my mother sent the photos back to show my father, I knew my mother was very proud’, Thu said. 

Emphasizing work efficiency without losing the balance between work and life is a goal that FSOFT continually pursues. Alongside Parents’ Day, in recent times, FSOFT has extended activities focusing on the families of FSOFTers, exemplified by Family Day. The event, successfully organized in Hanoi, Da Nang, FJP, and FPT EU, has connected generations of FSOFTer families through activities imbued with FSOFT’s spirit and culture. 

Due to the nature of being a technology company, the number of female employees at FSOFT is relatively modest. However, perhaps because of this, on every occasion that celebrates women, such as March 8th or October 20th, female employees at FSOFT fully enjoy these special “benefits.” Alongside gifts and programs designed specifically for women, female FSOFTers are immersed in an atmosphere filled with flowers at FSOFT’s offices and campuses during these occasions. 

Originating from the spontaneous idea of Mr. Phan Phương Đạt, Mr. Bùi Anh Tuấn – the Art Director at FSOFT, and Mrs. Phạm Mỹ Ngọc (Former Head of the HR Department at FSOFT), from a casual conversation: Women in Vietnam are celebrated twice a year on International Women’s Day (March 8) and Vietnamese Women’s Day (October 20), while men don’t have an official day. From this, the idea of choosing a day to honor men was formed. 

“Every employee deserves to experience the best working environment” is the commitment set by FSOFT, aiming to achieve the goal of not only creating products that meet international standards and stature but also having a working environment and culture that meet international standards. 

By leveraging the strategy of diversifying high-quality internal bonding activities, FSOFT can expand their impact in improving the spiritual life of employees, spreading brand recognition in the market through holidays and events that focus on the global FSOFTer family. 

The number of Gen Z employees at FSOFT accounts for more than one-third of the total FSOFT workforce in 2023. FSOFT CHRO Nguyen Tuan Minh, predicts that this figure will continue to increase significantly in the next three years. 

Mr. Minh also shared, “Over the past 35 years, FPT has grown and developed thanks to the collaborative efforts of all generations. People care for each other not only in work but also in life, seeking happiness together… To maintain this spirit amid the changes of times and generations, we need the understanding of the older generation regarding the differences in the thinking of the younger ones”.  

FSOFT is undoubtedly not going to change its culture due to generational shift. Culture is our value through different eras, distilled to represent the philosophy and way of doing things at FSOFT. The values remain unchanged. Over the years, across generations, what we are doing is enriching, adding depth to interpret those values in line with trends and realities. Always listening, innovating through each event, FSOFT is introducing more and more new events, suitable for the new era but still delving deeper into the traditional values of the company. Core values of FSOFT such as “dynamic,” “enthusiastic,” and “innovative” make FSOFT a vibrant land for Gen Z to freely explore, explore their limits in unfamiliar territories, and have the freedom to paint a colorful life in their workplace. 

There is a common thread in these stories – the joy and pride that each character cannot hide as they have become such FSOFTers that have been cared, recognized by the company and enriched with various new experiences. 

As Apple’s co-founder Steve Jobs once said: “My passion has been to build an enduring company where people were motivated to make great products. Everything else was secondary”. 

Emphasizing the construction of a distinctive culture throughout all activities, from business operations to the spiritual life of every FSOFTer, is the “recipe” for FSOFT to create a world-class enterprise, where every employee can “touch their point of happiness.” What FSOFT has accumulated over the 25-year development journey, aiming towards the future, is the result built on the foundation of FSOFT’s culture and values.
