FPT Japan issues policy to welcome onsiters back to Japan

The Japanese government’s easing of entry restrictions due to the Coronavirus is the “golden time” for FSOFTers to return to the country of cherry blossoms. FPT Japan (FJP) is also preparing and researching policies to support employees and relatives coming here to live and work.

On March 1, Japan lifted the ban on entry for long-term residents or short-term residents (under 3 months) for commercial and labor purposes. The Japanese government is also considering shortening the quarantine period upon arrival to 3 days or less than 7 days. Accordingly, people who have had all 3 injections will not need to undergo quarantine for 3 days. If you have not had 3 injections, you need to self-quarantine for 7 days. On the 3rd day, if you have a negative PCR result, you will not have to self-quarantine anymore. After entering Japan, you can start using your vehicle within 24 hours.

After the arrival of this news, FPT Japan has been preparing to receive FSOFT people from Vietnam. Accordingly, the company is carrying out necessary procedures to support onsiters, and, at the same time, researching special preferential policies for employees and their relatives to go to Japan to work and settle down.

FJP CEO Do Van Khac said that in 2022 FJP plans to recruit about 550 more employees to meet its growth target. “In addition to adding Japanese management experts to increase the percentage of native speakers at the company from 12% to 30% in the next 3 years, FJP also needs to add high-quality SEs (Software Engineer) from Vietnam and build a program of 1,000 SE high level in the field of cloud, high-level basic design, data engineering…”, he said.

Compared with local companies, FJP has many advantages in terms of competitive income, support, and training policies for employees and their relatives. With the company’s reputation, employees wishing to settle in Japan will have enough conditions to buy a house after 3 years.

Earlier on February 25, Japanese authorities began allowing universities, businesses, and organizations to apply online for entry visas for foreigners they intend to receive. Organizations and businesses must register their passport information and self-quarantine location after arriving in Japan on the Entrants, Returnees Follow-up System (ERFS) in advance.

Japan has banned entry for foreigners since November 2021, right at the time when the first cases of Omicron variant were detected. That was part of the countermeasures against the Omicron variant.

In Japan, FJP is known as the largest foreign technology company with about 1,700 employees. Over the past 16 years, FJP has continuously increased its market share of IT technology and services in Japan. FJP sets a goal by 2025 to be in the top 20 of the largest IT Service companies in Japan with a turnover of 600M USD and about 3,000 employees.
