FSOFT and FJP to “pursue” sustainability certification EcoVadis 
The EcoVadis project in 2022 is run in parallel for both FSOFT and FJP, kick-off from June 2022 and is expected to be completed in December 2022 with the goal of FSOFT achieving Bronze and FJP’s EcoVadis certifications will upgrade EcoVadis certification to Silver Medal.
EcoVadis is currently the world’s largest platform, used to evaluate the implementation of CSR activities of enterprises. After enterprises submit a set of answers and actual documents proving according to 21 sustainability criteria, they are grouped into four topics including Environment, Ethics, Labor and Human rights, and Sustainable Procurement. EcoVadis will evaluate and rank respectively such categories as Platinum Medal, Gold Medal, Silver Medal and Bronze Medal.
The project established a Project Management Board (PMO) which is a member of FHO.LRC with representatives from Ms. Tran Thi Kim Phuong – Head of LRC and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa – COO of FJP. Participating in the project were members from FSOFT HO and FJP departments including LRC in charge of Ethics; PRC is in charge of Sustainable Procurement; HRPR is in charge of Labor and Human rights and the alliance of SEPG, SSC, FID is in charge of Environment.
In 2021, with the companionship of the Japanese consulting company SusTB, FJP achieved the Bronze EcoVadis certification with a score of 50/100. Taking advantage of that, in 2022, FJP cooperates with FSOFT to obtain and upgrade EcoVadis certification. FJP with the advantage of experience has obtained the EcoVadis certificate in 2021 and FSOFT has the advantage of systems for many years, the Board of Directors hopes that this cooperation will help bring the best results for FSOFT.
The specific impact of EcoVadis at FSOFT and FJP will be the issuance of new or updated policy documents, and then the implementation of training and wide-ranging communication throughout the company. Activities are currently being carried out by departments in charge as scheduled. The Project Management Board hopes that the entire FSOFTer will join hands so that the activities not only stop on documents but also really come into life, becoming a part of the good culture of FSOFT people.
In the context that the world is increasingly focusing on the topic of sustainable development, originating from Europe, Ecovadis certification is being applied more in not only Europe but also Japan and other advanced markets to contribute to promoting the formation of supply chains that are committed to implementing sustainable development goals and corporate social responsibility. EcoVadis will also quickly become a necessary condition for FSOFT in general and FJP, in particular, to join the global supply chain right now and more urgently in the coming time.
