FSOFT Chairwoman discusses “the art of evaluating candidates” via first contact with recruitment staff

Yesterday afternoon (April 5), FSOFT Chairowman Chu Thi Thanh Ha and Ms. Vu Thi Mai Huong – Deputy General Director of FPT Telecom, had a conversation about “The art of identifying and evaluating candidates on the first contact” with nearly 100 staff of FWA at 3 locations – Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City. However, what many FWA women were most interested in was how to identify potential candidates for a position that they can “rely on for life”.

The event took place at F-Ville 2 Hoa Lac, on the occasion when FWA organized the Quarterly Review for the first quarter of 2022. Ms. Chu Thi Thanh Ha and Ms. Vu Thi Mai Huong had a lively conversation with FWA Director Nguyen Ngoc Bich, FSOFT HCM Director cum FWA.HCM Director Nguyen Thi Thanh Trang, Central FSOFT Director cum Director FWA.MT Le Hong Linh and about 100 FSOFT recruitment officers in F-Ville, F-Complex, and F-Town.

The program is held offline in 3 regions

Opening the program, Ms. Bich summed up the last quarter with many interesting numbers on recruitment. She shared the results of key programs that FWA had set up since the beginning of the year. Many programs have been done using past experience and new programs to be implemented were also introduced by Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Bich.

After the report, 7 excellent recruitment officers in the first quarter of 2022 were commended by FWA and awarded flowers and certificates of merit by FSOFT Chairwoman Chu Thi Thanh Ha and guests.

An equally interesting part was the exchange on “The art of recognizing and evaluating candidates on the first contact”. FSOFT Chairwoman and Ms. Vu Thi Mai Huong – Deputy General Director of FTEL, enthusiastically shared how to identify potential candidates through their faces. With many years of experience working at FPT, FTEL, and even FSOFT, the two sisters told real and compelling stories, thereby drawing accurate predictions about candidates.

At the end of the program was a question and answer session, the FWAs at the F-Ville bridge directly asked Ms. Ha and Ms. Mai Huong. Nearly 60 questions from FWA employees in Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City.

For many questions, Ms. Vu Thi Mai Huong cited good quotes such as: “How you take care of your employees determines how they take care of your customers”. With practical experience, the Deputy General Director of FTEL highly appreciated the program that FWA is targeting to mobilize FSOFT resources to work in Hoa Lac, especially putting real-life comparisons into work. “I find the way they share experiences like going to the street can take 40 minutes while working in Hoa Lac only takes 35 minutes and the employees do not have to commute under the rain or scorching sun”, Ms. Mai Huong said enthusiastically.

This veteran leader of FPT and FTEL affirmed that in the battle to secure resources, instead of only focusing on money and position to keep people, we need to instill in their employees the desire to rise in work and life.

When asked what preparations had been made by the company and the leaders to deal with the fierce competition for quality human resources in the HCMC market, Ms. Chu Thi Thanh Ha shared 4 points that FSOFT is paying attention to, including a very strong solution which is to actively confront rival companies and hire their people if they pose a concern to our human resources.

The FSOFT Chairwoman also advised FSOFT managers, recruitment officers, and human resources officers to always keep themselves in a good mood to have enough energy to motivate, encourage and relieve stress at work and life of employees under their management.

“It is necessary to tighten the cooperation between the management team of FSU/BU and the recruitment officers, thereby we can detect and promptly adjust the remuneration policy for employees and potential candidates”, said Ms. Chu Thi Thanh Ha.

One last question that made the whole hall of the three regions burst with excitement was the question from the MC: “Please share the secret for us RECers to identify candidates so that we can… rely on for our whole life, like the photo on the screen (the photo of Ms. Ha leaning on Mr. Rau)?”.

It also took a bit of embarrassment, Ms. Ha quietly told the story of how she had found someone to rely on for her life. The number 1 secret is that she made her discovery in FPT, and the number 2 secret is to take action to help each other at work, thereby actively learning about the other’s hardships to understand each other better.

“Gradually, through the act of helping each other at work, she found herself the refuge of her life when she least expected it”, Ms. Chu Thi Thanh Ha ended the story to the applause of the young and beautiful RECers of FSOFT.
