FSOFT leaders socialize with foreign employees in Da Nang

At noon on July 15, FDN’s Board of Directors held a Happy Lunch for foreign employees working at F-Complex. Currently, FDN is home for 40 expats with nationalities from the US, Japan, India, Sri Lanka to Senegal and Haiti.

Attending Happy Lunch were 13 foreign employees (expats) with FSOFT COO Tran Dang Hoa, FDN Director Le Xuan Loc, FDN HR officer Trinh Minh Viet and BULs, EX Elite girls and FDN general staff.

Representative of FSU Board of Directors, Mr. Le Xuan Loc shared about the growth of expats along with the development of FDN over the past time. He wished everyone a good lunch. FSOFT COO Tran Dang Hoa arrived later and gave a brief speech about the meaning of the expat team in the globalization process of FSOFT and congratulated FDN for taking the lead in developing an expat team at FSOFT.

Many funny stories took place during this lunch. FPT Software COO Tran Dang Hoa approached a dining table with 3 foreign employees and 3 Vietnamese employees. He asked the foreigners, “Where are you from?”. The two friends enthusiastically replied, “Senegal!”. The COO excitedly asked, “Do you know any famous Senegalese football player name?”. A guy with the nickname Momo quickly replied, “Bayern Munich striker Sadio Mané and Chelsea goalkeeper Édouard Mendy”. The FSOFT CEO was stunned for a moment in surprise, then all 4 chatted with laughter about their common hobby – football.

After having lunch and having a lively discussion with each other, the FDN General Assembly organized 2 small games such as Charades. Vietnamese BULs must act out without saying any word, and the expats must guess the keyword. There may have been a good understanding between Vietnamese managers and the foreigners as most of the expats were able to quickly guess the right answers.

The meeting and lunch took place from 12:00 to 13:00. It ended in laughter and so much joy shared between FSOFTers from many different countries.

Expat, an abbreviation for Expatriate, this is a phrase used to refer to foreigners living in another country. These people do not live in the country where they were born and have nationality, but go to another country to live and work yet do not want to adopt that country’s nationality.
