FSOFTers at Hola Park getting acquainted with the traditional martial art Vovinam

With the desire to improve health, equip self-defense skills, and promote the image of Vietnam’s traditional martial art, the FSOFT’s Vovinam Club was established and began its activities at Hola Park.

Joining the club, the first 20 martial arts enthusiasts have the opportunity to learn Vovinam according to the standard training program of the Vietnamese Vovinam Martial Arts Association and undergo training in soft skills and connect.

In the club’s organized sessions, martial arts enthusiasts will be trained according to the association’s standard program, including skills in forms, self-defense, counterattacks, and sparring. The classes are taught by two head coaches, Mr. Tran Cong Thao (GAM.GET) and Mr. Dang Van Tung (GAM.IVI), along with experienced assistant instructors.

Sharing about the club’s activities, Chairman Tran Cong Thao said, “We hope this will be a fun and beneficial playground for FSOFTers. We aim to build a strong club that can participate in external competitions. Then, besides the role of an IT company, people will also know FSOFT as a thriving place for sports movements, specifically Vovinam.”

In the first training sessions, the martial arts enthusiasts enthusiastically participated in activities. For FSOFTers experiencing Vovinam for the first time, the classes helped them overcome fears, allowing them to get to know this new sport. Some participants with prior experience with Vovinam considered this an opportunity to “return home, reignite passion, boost enthusiasm, and enhance a sense of responsibility,” as shared by Mr. Thao.

With the spirit of “It’s never too late for Vovinam,” the club continues to welcome new members to join training sessions, contributing to the development of the sports movement within the company. The club regularly meets from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM every Tuesday and Thursday at the Yoga Room F1, Hola Park.
