Get more PMP to ICS’s certificate store

Successfully conquering the PMP certificate, Mr. Bui Anh Dung (ICS.LTS) not only contributes to the international certificate store of ICS but also expands his opportunities to enter more challenging projects in the near future.

With more than 3 years of project management from small scale (PFW with about 10 members) to medium (PFW MIG with more than 20 employees), Mr. Dung believes that having an international certificate in the profession is an important factor to go long distances. Therefore, Mr. Dung planned to pass the PMI-ACP certification exam in March 2021 to “clear the way” for the journey to conquer PMP. This is one of the advanced certifications in project management, which is considered the most popular and prestigious.

By early 2022, Mr. Dung registered to participate in the PMP training course organized by CTC. During the 4 months from February to June 2022, in addition to attending the exam preparation course in class with his mentor, Mr. Dung also spent most of his weekends and after-hours working on exam preparation. Those efforts have brought “sweet fruits” when he has been fostered with a huge amount of knowledge in project management, and added confidence when operating the project, because he has really understood “what is right and wrong” and how to handle problems when in crisis, to bring the project to success”.

Sharing about the journey of “eating and sleeping” with PMP, Mr. Dung said: “The thickness, breadth and depth of PMP together with his own limited time is the biggest challenge, requiring concentration and high persistence. Everything has its price, if you have to grind iron, you will have a good day. Getting international certificates and widening the road to enter more difficult projects is the most obvious result of your efforts.”

According to Mr. Dung, the structure of the PMP exam has changed due to the trend of the project moving from Waterfall to Agile. For FSOFTers who plan to take the PMP exam, they should experience ACP first. For FSOFTers who have taken the ACP exam, they should register with CTC to receive the best support from their mentors and detailed learning materials.

In the near future, Mr. Dung will continue to conquer other challenging international certifications such as PgMP/Safe or participate in any challenging projects when given the opportunity.
