The expat of FHN discovers Asian culture in FSOFT

Alejandro Deulofeu Fleites (FleitesAD, better known as Alex) has always wanted to learn about Asian culture and feels very happy to start exploring this unique culture in Vietnam. For this Cuban man, Vietnam is an exotic  and beautiful country, the Vietnamese people are helpful  and friendly. Alex, like many other foreigners, faced many challenges when he arrived, such as being different in language and traffic, but the 8X guy always felt happy and excited when he mingled in the new rhythm of life in the S-shaped country..

Alex became curious and interested in the second largest technology company in Vietnam after hearing about it from a close friend who had previously worked there. Alex applied for FSOFT because he wanted to live in a country with long-standing diplomatic relations with Cuba.

Alex arrived in Hanoi in March 2022, farewelling his beautiful homeland of Cuba, and quickly tried many new projects with Singaporean customers of the FHN.TCS unit. Alex was quickly recognized as a Technical Leader for his professional skills and work ethic. This Cuban man also made an impression on all project members with his quick adaptation to the living conditions in Vietnam in general and the working conditions at FHN in particular.

Perhaps because of the cultural similarities, as well as the history of faithful friendship between Vietnam and Cuba, Alex quickly integrated into the project team. “As a new Expat employee in Vietnam, Alex is quite enthusiastic and quickly integrates into both work and culture at FSOFT and FHN.TCS,” Mr. Mai said. The foreign colleague is praised by Manh, Vice BUL of FHN.TCS unit.

Alex considers himself fortunate to work with such a talented and friendly team. “I got to work with two great project teams, from which I learned a lot of new things,” the 8X guy delighted. I shared my experience and knowledge while working and realized that there are many different ways to do the same thing. At FHN, I get to share great ideas and experiences with the members. These are the main reasons I want to stick with the project and the unit. It’s exciting to discover new things, and I’m fortunate to work with a highly professional project team.

Alex has worked directly with many talented leaders at FHN who have taught you a lot about how to work and how to improve results. The best thing about FHN is that new and creative ideas are always encouraged, which allows Alex to quickly deploy and implement work. Alex believes that the best thing in your working process is always receiving sharing and listening from the unit’s leadership. Therefore, this Technical Leader can freely propose process improvement ideas and does not hesitate to spend more time and effort to perfect it.

Admittedly, the most attractive thing about Alex is his willpower. The 8X guy does not accept giving up and believes that everything is possible. When facing obstacles at work, Alex has more determination to complete and always actively encourages the spirit of other members in the project. The spirit of not being afraid of difficulties and challenges to complete the assigned tasks has brought Alex and the project consecutive successes and compliments from customers.

Alex also just completed the AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer certification in July 2022. The Technical Leader has the desire to continue to develop further in the Cloud segment and aims to become an expert in this field.
