FSOFT stays on top with 3/10 ideas participating in iKhien 2021 Final
On the last race of iKhien 2021, FSOFT is one of two participating units with three products including X-Jobs matching based on akaJob, Tool vendor score card and 2021 One team – One delivery. Along with 7 products from other member companies, iKhien 2021 is getting even hotter as it gets close to the finish line.
FPT Telecom and FSOFT continued to show their leading position in the race of FPT iKhien 2021 when participating with 3 products each. FPT IS, Synnex FPT, FPT Online and FPT Smart Cloud each have one product to participate.
For FSOFT’s products, the X-Jobs matching tool based on akaJob was presented by Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Lien Minh. This is a system to connect projects that need people and employees who want to receive more jobs within FSOFT. X-Jobs helps optimize the company’s human resources, saving the company about $800,000 in costs, and an estimated revenue growth of about $10 million by the end of 2021. Judge Vu Anh Tu expressed his impression that the tool helps increase productivity while WFH and increase employees’ income.
Responding to the question of judge Tran Thanh Ha – Information Technology Director of FPT Retail, about the risk of part-time jobs affecting the main project, the representative of the team said that in order to receive more jobs, an employee must be approved by his or her current Project Manager. The condition to receive money is to complete 90% of the task at their the main project.
FSOFT CDTO Dao Duy Cuong emphasized that X-Jobs is not only like an intermediary but also like an exchange, with the feature of personnel evaluation to ensure that all parties are satisfied with the outcome.

Along with that is “One team – One delivery”, the largest competition for project managers at FSOFT. Previously, the offline organization was made impossible given the COVID-19 outbreak. The online form of the competition not only overcame the limitation of having to organize in various locations, but also helps the members of various units have the opportunity to understand each other better and create a closer relationship. This year, the competition attracted 89 teams, many of which were from overseas. Organizing online saved about 50% of the costs compared to offline.
Answering about the competition format and future application, Ms. Nguyen Phuong Thao said that the competition format remained the same. In the following years, whether affected by the pandemic or not, the first rounds of the contest will still be conducted in an online format due to the large number of teams.
Finally, the Tool vendor score card is a comprehensive management tool for KPIs. It has saved more than 285 man-months. Currently the tool is being used at a major project to increase customer satisfaction.
Judge Vu Anh Tu questioned why the tool was not applied to other projects at FPT Software and Mr. Dao Duy Cuong said the company has the goal of implementing it at other big projects. Currently, some projects have some self-designed tools, but the tools are not yet complete given the size of those projects.
The number and quality of the finalist teams this year made the judges spend a lot of time to evaluate and consider. The results of the round, as well as the final list of semifinalists, will be announced on November 8.
iKhien is the FPT Innovation Award to seek and honor the creations of FPT people. The contest creates favorable conditions to promote creativity and brings investment opportunities (money and resources) to the creators. That helps open up new development directions with the advice of experts. At the same time, the program helps creators to unleash their creativity and connect with the creative community.
