Enroll in Korea_BrSE for opportunity to experience movie-like life in Korea
For the fans of Korean movies, there will certainly be many times when you all wish to experience life in the land of kimchi. Enrolling in the Korea_BrSE program is the shortest way for FSOFTers to earn the opportunity to live and work in Korea.
Joining FSOFT at the end of 2016 after receiving a recommendation from friends, at first, Mr. Doan Manh Cuong (FKR.KSI) worked as a developer to develop projects on Mobile and Printer. Then, Mr. Cuong had the opportunity to be participate in projects with Korean clients about Automotive at GAM. Once by chance, when the project he was working on had just ended, Mr. Cuong received an email with enrollment information for the BrSE Korea program from CTC. After thinking about it, he decided to enroll in the program the hope that after completing his studies, he would have many new opportunities and challenges for himself. It was also the starting point for Mr. Cuong’s journey to FKR.
Completing the BrSE program in 10 months, Mr. Cuong shared, “In addition to learning a new language, during 10 months, I was accompanied by great friends and colleagues from many units. Their many different expertises have helped me learn a lot of interesting things.” That is to study for free and to learn an extra language that can help a lot no matter where one works in the future. And more importantly, they now can watch Korean movies and listen to Korean music without having to turn on the sub. However, he also had to spend a lot of time studying and that cost him some job opportunities.

Mr. Cuong also gives advice to those who are planning to join Korea_BrSE, “You should consider whether you really want to work in Korea or not? Does your condition allow you to do it? When learning, you should focus on speaking skills because language is for communication. If you know it well but can’t speak it, you can’t work with Koreans. When you have the opportunity to come to Korea, you should go immediately because after studying, if you don’t use the language, you will gradually forget it.”
During the time living and working in Korea, Mr. Cuong has experienced many new things that have only been seen in movies before such as street in fall filled with yellow leaf, the -20 degree cold of winter, skiing… and walking on the cherry blossom street in spring. According to Mr. Cuong, “In Korea, everything from traffic, communication, and life services is very civilized and convenient. Korean office culture is similar to what I see in Korean movies and is really worth experiencing.”
The Korea_BrSE program is a Korean Bridge Engineer Training program. Participants in the program are university graduates with 1 year of experience working on projects at FSOFT in the following positions: Project managers, Technical Leaders, Developers, Testers, and Business Analysts interested in learning Korean. The BrSE course was opened with the goal of providing Korean-speaking engineers to serve the potential Korean market.
