The PM with a passion about building career bridges for Korean IT Engineers
As the Project Manager of the Korean BrSE (Bridge Software Engineer) program, Ms. Tran Thi Quynh Mai (FSA.LDC) has successfully recruited and trained nearly 500 potential students at FPT University, acting as a “bridge” for IT engineers to conquer the technology market in the Land of Kimchi.
Joining FSOFT in November 2017, Ms. Mai has been involved in the training profession since the very beginning. Holding the position of Training Officer at FPT Software Academy for half a decade, Ms. Mai has always excelled in her assigned tasks, and has been repeatedly honored in the unit’s and the group’s awards such as The Best Performance, The Best Training Officer… In 2022, with the trust of the Managers/Team Leads at FSA, she accepted the opportunity to take on the position of Project Manager of the Korean BrSE program – one of the key programs of FSOFT in general and FSA in particular.

Due to the nature of the project management and operation for students, Ms. Mai is always open and proactive in expanding relationships with students, relevant units and partners. In order to coordinate well between the parties so that information is transmitted accurately and timely, she always prepares detailed and meticulous reports on the recruitment and training situation with FPT Korea and LG CNS customers. At the same time, she works closely with the vendors that provide Korean language lecturers. In addition, she also coordinates smoothly with FPT University to build a suitable training program for students, which takes place in 18 months.
To operate the Korean BrSE program effectively, Quynh Mai said: “With a completely new program, I have to pay attention to every detail of the project, from participating in tasks such as developing a recruitment plan, organizing branding events, directly advising each student, to coordinating with the parties to develop a training program that meets the needs of the unit and customers”.
Although facing many difficulties because this was the first time the Korean BrSE training course was organized for students, with her meticulousness, professionalism and enthusiastic support from the Managers at FSA, Ms. Quynh Mai successfully operated the project and achieved remarkable results: Successfully recruited 500 students to participate in the program – exceeding 126% of the KPI set, making Korean BrSE the first full-time university training program in the country, providing high-quality Korean IT human resources for FSOFT’s Korean projects, successfully assigning 90% of graduates to projects in the cooperation program between FPT Korea and LG CNS customer.
In 2024, the program’s OKR is to recruit 600 new students, expand the program to all three regions, and assign 100 qualified freshers to software projects at FSOFT. To achieve this goal, the strategy of Ms. Mai and FSA is to take the success of the KS program at FPT University as a premise, and then expand the training scale to neighboring universities with good student quality such as: Vietnam-Korea University of Information Technology and Communication, Hanoi University of Industry, Hue University of Science, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology…
“The IT market in Korea is extremely dynamic and potential. I really want students to be able to access attractive career opportunities here through the Korean BrSE program,” said Ms. Mai.
It can be seen that Ms. Quynh Mai is the embodiment of the “bridge” for IT engineers in Korea. Hopefully, the continuous contributions of Quynh Mai and the FSA team will help the company recruit a large number of high-quality IT personnel, bringing FSOFT to the next level in the Land of Kimchi.
