FAMers “get away” to the beautiful natural scenery in Washington state, USA

After enduring 4-5 months of continuous rain in Seattle, Mr. Pham Duc Trung’s family, along with four families of FAM.ST5 colleagues, organized a “welcome summer” trip at Crescent Lake in Olympic National Park, Washington state. This outing provided a chance for the group to celebrate birthdays in April and May for both members and their families, while also marking the beginning of new adventures during the dry season, known for its pleasant, cool climate.

From Seattle to Crescent Lake, Mr. Trung’s group embarked on a car journey lasting around three and a half hours. Along this scenic route, travelers can enjoy breathtaking natural landscapes and even explore parks en route. Situated amidst the lush Olympic Mountains, Crescent Lake is a pristine natural wonder formed by ancient glaciers sculpting deep valleys. With a remarkable depth of 624 feet (equivalent to 190m), Crescent Lake ranks as the second deepest lake in Washington state.

Visitors to Crescent Lake can take leisurely walks along Spruce Road or Barnes Creek trail to appreciate the surrounding nature, engage in kayaking, try salmon fishing, and even camp overnight.

Mr. Trung’s group decided to rent an Airbnb near the lake for a breath of fresh air and to engage in kayaking activities. In the evenings, families came together, arranged a BBQ party, and lit candles to celebrate a birthday. Despite the limited time to partake in all the activities, Mr. Trung and every member cherished these valuable and unforgettable bonding moments during their onsite journey in the US.
