FSOFT and PMI forge strategic partnership, driving talent development and innovation

FSOFT recently signed a large-scale Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the world’s leading association for project management, the Project Management Institute (PMI). This partnership aims to bridge skill gaps within the technology industry and foster innovation worldwide, support FSOFT to achieve 555 certifications for its project managers by 2024.

The signing ceremony was attended by President & CEO, PMI Pierre Le Manh, Regional Managing Director – Asia Pacific, PMI SoHyun Kang. On the FSOFT side, CDO Vu Tien Dat, CHRO Nguyen Tuan Minh, Deputy CDO Nguyen Quoc Dong and many leaders and managers of the FSA unit participated in the ceremony.

Under this agreement, PMI commits to supporting FSOFT  in creating and implementing a comprehensive career-long learning and development framework for its employees. PMI will also share the most up-to-date project management principles and standards, so that FSOFT can ensure quality control of its in-house training programs.

In 2024, FSOFT aims to achieve 555 certifications for its project managers, including 500 Project Management Professional (PMP) certificates, 50 Program Management Professional (PgMP) certificates, and 5 Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP) certificates. Up to now, FSOFT has achieved 100% KPI in the number of PfMP certificates. In three years, FSOFT plans to obtain a total of 2,606 PMI certifications. 

These project management certifications are the gold standard in project management, recognized by organizations worldwide. This not only validates the expertise of FSOFT’s workforce but also enhances their professional recognition globally, boosting FSOFT’s credibility when engaging with potential customers, leading to improved operational efficiency and client satisfaction.

Before the signing ceremony, more than 30 Software PMs also had the opportunity to directly listen to the sharing of PMI President and CEO Pierre. Here, key contents touching on current topics in the field of PM were brought up by speakers to discuss and help FSOFT project managers, including: The future of the field of management project in the next 5-10 years; The current pace of AI development and the skills that PMs need to focus on improving; PMI’s perspective on “a forever learning career” and the tools PMI can support PMs on their career path; Potential of the project management industry in Vietnam in particular and APAC in general.
