To prioritize important tasks among hundreds of jobs, you need to “befriend” this AI tool
By searching for necessary information among hundreds of chat lines, emails, etc., with just one command on Microsoft Copilot, Nguyễn Hữu Nam from the Accounting Department (AF) easily manages tasks, completes priority tasks, and doesn’t miss any job.
In mid-August, Nam and the AF team joined the “Elevate AI for BA” course organized by FSA. The course helped Nam answer questions about the history, development of Artificial Intelligence, and the inevitable trend of applying AI in all fields. “I have a clearer understanding of AI’s potential in improving processes and increasing work efficiency. Understanding AI tools deeply makes me more confident when applying them in practice,” Nam emphasized.
More importantly, through the course, Nam was introduced to and guided on how to use the AI tool Copilot – part of the Microsoft ecosystem. By incorporating Copilot into daily work, Nam discovered many useful features that are close to the tasks of the Accounting profession. Instead of reading the entire document, Nam only needs to enter the command “summarize the text below,” and Copilot will return the main points of the text, helping Nam easily grasp the information and spend the remaining time solving other priority tasks.

Additionally, Copilot also supports Nam in managing tasks, allowing him to search for information among hundreds of emails as well as daily requests on Teams. To maximize the effectiveness of this feature, Nam suggests a tip: “communicate more on the Teams platform” to get the most support from Copilot.
Furthermore, Copilot also helps Nam deepen his professional knowledge, explain specialized concepts, and provide links to verified sources. “Like the IFRS course, I continuously use Copilot to look up information and support answering exam questions, thereby reviewing and summarizing knowledge concisely,” Nam shared.
With Copilot’s companionship, Nam saves about 20-30% effort for each task. However, to make Copilot truly a powerful assistant, Nam believes that “it takes a lot of time and patience.” First, each FSOFTer needs to clearly define their goals, answer the questions: Why is it necessary to apply? What tasks to apply to? What are the desired outcomes? Then, FSOFTers can participate in courses, workshops, and AI sharing groups, such as the “Elevate AI for BA” course or the “Bình dân học AI” group on Facebook – where many experts from FSOFT regularly share knowledge and experience.
