FPT Americas appoints the new co-CEOs for the FAM.ST15 – Cardinal Peak Unit
The leadership of FPT Americas (FAM) has officially appointed Mr. Bernard Vachon and Mr. Sean ONeil as the new Co-CEOs of Cardinal Peak, internally known as FAM.ST15. The two leaders will guide Cardinal Peak, a subsidiary of FAM, into its next phase of development and strategic innovation.
Mr. Bernard Vachon, who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from McGill University and a Master’s in Engineering Management from the University of Colorado Boulder, brings over 20 years of experience in developing extensive embedded software solutions. Having joined Cardinal Peak in 2009 as an embedded software expert, he possesses deep insight into the company’s operations and goals. “I look forward to contributing to new goals and strategies that will position FPT Americas and Cardinal Peak as a leading provider of technology engineering services in North America,” Bernard shared.
Mr. Sean ONeil’s experience spans across Canada, Sweden, Indonesia, and the US, giving him a broad perspective on company management and shaping his leadership style. He holds an MBA from Queen’s University. Prior to joining Cardinal Peak, he worked as a software engineer at companies including ABB, Hughes Aircraft, Brooks Automation, Cisco, and Arris.
Upon taking on the new role, Sean stated: “Over 20 years in the industry have given me a strong foundation, and I am excited to use it to propel Cardinal Peak to new heights. Our top priority is to drive growth for Cardinal Peak and FPT Americas in sectors such as healthcare, consumer products, audio/visual and streaming, aerospace, and defense.”

In November 2023, FSOFT announced the acquisition of Cardinal Peak – a 20-year-old technology company in the North American market, providing services in hardware, embedded software, IoT, cloud computing, and mobile product development to over 300 companies. Following this acquisition, Cardinal Peak will retain its brand and operating model while collaborating with FPT to expand its service offerings and client base globally.
