The three girls from GST won the championship of the first season of the Kaiwa Contest
On the morning of December 9th, at The Earth Hall (F-Ville 3, Hola Park), the final round of the Japanese presentation contest – Kaiwa Contest 2024 – concluded with the participation of the top 8 contestants from all three regions. The Rainichi (来日) team, consisting of Vi Thi Thao, Kieu Thi Hai, and Do Thanh Tam from GST.GSE, won the championship.
In the preliminary round, the Rainichi (来日) team impressed the judges with their presentation in traditional Vietnamese áo dài. In the final round, they chose the topic of Diversity and showcased their impressive presentation skills and storytelling, taking the judges from one surprise to another. Their sharp thinking and fluent Japanese speaking skills particularly won the hearts of the judges and the fans at the contest.

The prize for the championship team is a 4-day, 3-night trip to Japan for all three members. The JFD_ATVNCG (FSG) team won the runner-up prize, and the Baka Baka Boom team (a coalition of FI MS3 and FWA EC) won the third prize. The teams ゼロ・トゥ・ヒーロー (GPE IMS), Kira (FCR), MS2_Winner (FI), CMS.ANA – Sky’s The Limit (FHM CMS), and SCM MAD (SCM DLS) received the Enthusiasm award.

Supporting the teams in the final round, FSOFT President Chu Thị Thanh Ha shared about the history of the Software House in Japan and the role of this market in “paving the way” and “bringing Vietnamese intelligence to the world.” Throughout FSOFT’s development history, Japan has always been the leading market, and currently, FSOFT has 4,000 employees working directly in the land of the rising sun, with a revenue of 500 million USD in 2024.

“I have assigned two important goals to the LTI unit. First, within the next three years, organize Japanese language courses so that 15,000 FSOFT employees can communicate well with customers, creating a ‘like in Japan’ feeling for customers when they come to FSOFT. Second, FSOFT will become the largest Japanese-speaking community in Vietnam. The Kaiwa Contest will not only be limited to FSOFT but will also expand to universities and companies working with Japanese customers, making FSOFT a place that inspires IT talents proficient in Japanese,” Hà shared.
2024 is the first year the Kaiwa Contest has been organized, affirming the efforts and passion for learning Japanese of FSOFTers across all three regions. The contest is not only a playground for FSOFTers to showcase their Japanese language skills but also an opportunity for them to learn more about Japan, and to think more sharply about the hottest topics at FSOFT today, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Level UP spirit, and Diversity in the organization.
