“Aspiration to reach out” as design concept for F-Complex phase 3

Phase 1 of F-Complex was designed with the idea of showing the beauty of the sea and islands and Phase 2 is about natural phenomena such as storms, wind, tornadoes and adaptations of Danang people in the past. Under the harshness of nature, the designs for Phase 3 of F-Complex express the desire to reach out and conquer new lands of the young generation of Danang people.

F-Complex Phase 3: The Great Hall

According to FSOFT Fine Arts Director Bui Anh Tuan (BCM.ART), the beauty of the sea in the F-Complex phase 1 (referred to as FC1) is shown through the undulating wooden beams expressing the waves of Danang beach. The chairs or the reception desk (towards Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street) use a smooth circular motif like pebbles or the island that has been eroded by seawater over the years.

Meanwhile, F-Complex Phase 2 (FC2) describes the contrasting nuances of the central marine nature and human behavior towards nature.

According to Ms. Phan Thi Hai Ha (FID.DN), the design of different areas in FC2 shows “the states of the sea – sometimes peaceful and bright (staff area, connecting hall), sometimes stormy showing by the strong curves of FC2”.

F-Complex Phase 3 (FC3) is vibrant and youthful. The cubic motifs represent the  “Going out to sea” theme, describing the desire to reach out and conquer new lands. According to Mr. Bui Anh Tuan (BCM.ART), FC3 shows the tension of energy with patterns, long or winding light streaks, sometimes whirling aimlessly, high straight masts or wind-stretched sails, streaks of light like stars in the sky, etc.
