C99 organizes TedTalks to share tips on improving foreign language skills
Learning foreign languages, expertise, and soft skills have been “daily things” at FHM. Along with programs to encourage unit members to improve their English ability, recently FHM’s first TedTalks were organized by C99 Academy, attracting more than 150 participants and “huge” views via Livestream on Workplace.
The talk show is designed with 3 inspirational content including How to find motivations to go to work, How to learn English effectively and English Opportunities. The guest speakers are Ms. Tran Pham Quynh Anh – Co-founder, Academic CODE Vietnam Manager, Mr. Todd Zinck – Founder and Teacher at Brighten Education and Tran Quoc Hieu from TechOps team of C99.
C99 TedTalks brought valuable tips from the guests’ own real experiences, how to learn English effectively, overcome their own barriers in the constantly changing world, what to do to stay at full energy, and how to find opportunities for yourself.
Sharing at TedTalks, speaker Todd Zinck said that there are many ways to learn English. Speaker Tran Quoc Hieu also said that C99 is an environment where the members can improve their foreign language skills when participating in a project. Therefore, each person can turn the workplace into an environment to learn English every day.
Participating in the talk show, Mr. Tran Van Dung – FHM’s FSUL and C99 Global Delivery Head shared: “Foreign languages bring you a lot of opportunities, but it also takes away many opportunities if we don’t improve every day. I understand that improving English is not easy, but it is not impossible. I hope you will always know how to seize and take advantage of all opportunities to study.”
Closing the event, the first C99 TED TALKS – a program with a completely new format – received a lot of positive reviews from the Board of Directors as well as the C99-ers. Besides technical expertise, foreign language ability is a factor that C99 focuses on promoting development for program members. Here, members are not only interested in life, physically or mentally, but also have the opportunity to develop comprehensively.
