Capture the Flag 2024 – The Maze Hacker: A journey through challenging cybersecurity labyrinth
A collaboration between FSA and SAS has culminated in a significant event, drawing a large number of cybersecurity enthusiasts from various universities in Nha Trang. This meaningful event not only promotes cybersecurity training at universities but also aims to discover potential talent for local branches.
On May 10th, Nha Trang University hosted the final round of the “CTF 2024 – The Maze Hacker” competition, marking the success of this inaugural information security event in the beautiful coastal city.
After more than a month of intense competition, the top four teams emerged from a series of challenging rounds. Three of these teams hailed from Nha Trang University, while the fourth represented the University of Information and Communication Technology. During the final round, the teams showcased their skills and resilience through a series of demanding tasks.

Ha Tu Huy, captain of the winning team NTU SEA 1, shared his excitement after the victory: “We felt a lot of nervousness before the competition. However, after seven hours of tackling fascinating security problems, our team is exhilarated and extremely proud of our win in the final round.”
The CTF 2024 competition presents an opportunity for FSOFT, particularly SAS, to identify and develop potential candidates for future projects at the Nha Trang branch. Dinh Tung Duong (SAS), head of the judging panel, commented on the teams’ performances: “Very impressive! The teams have showcased exceptional skills this year”.

Following the event, the top ten contestants from Nha Trang University will enter a special training program led by FSOFT experts. This initiative aims to bring home the first medal for Nha Trang University at the “ASEAN 2024 Student Information Security” competition, set to take place in October.
