DSC and ‘Beyond the limits’ spirit in 2022

The year 2021 will be filled with many ups and downs, however, the DevOps Service Center (DSC) remains firmly on target to achieve positive results throughout FSOFT. That is the opinion of DSC “captain” Nguyen Phuong Lan when evaluating the unit’s activities in the past year.

At the Kick-off PID 2022 event taking place on January 19, DSC and participating units reviewed the results of three key programs in 2021 including CI/CD Program, CD Innovation and Agile DevOps Innovation with outstanding numbers. In addition to providing CI/CD solutions for 759 projects in FSOFT (127% more than planned), DSC has built 25 sets of common deployment environment templates to support CD deployment projects. In addition, DSC also successfully implemented Agile DevOps for 35 projects after only 5 months of program launch.

Kick-off PID 2022 also saw the first change announcements of DSC in 2022 about how to measure KPIs with FSUs. From the feedback and contributions of FSUs, in the coming time, DSC will hold a meeting to agree on how to measure KPIs, make it easier for FSUs to apply CI/CD, and at the same time raise challenges in 2022.

Entering 2022, with the aspiration to become the CoE providing the entire DevOps system to FSUs and OBs, in addition to improving the quality of the DevOps system, DSC will cover all of FSOFT 4 major programs:

• CD Go mass: Becoming a mandatory program for projects in FSOFT with the spirit of gradually eliminating manual processes in the delivery process, towards automation.
• DevTestOps & DevSecOps: Integrate Automation Test and Security Test into DevOps pipeline, becoming an all-in-one service for projects.
• Agile DevOps Go mass: Providing Agile DevOps services and launching the Agile DevOps Handbook, making Agile not only a concept but a reality through automated workflows, specific guidelines for projects to be easily tracked and controlled project progress.
• VSM Pilot: Combined with FQC and SEPG, akaWORK becomes the leading VSM Platform serving FSOFT.

Choosing “Beyond the limits” as the slogan for the new journey, Ms. Lan believes that each DSC member will do their best to overcome challenges to bring good services and best experiences for customers.
