Elmer Gallardo embarks on global horizons at FPT

Joining Intertec five years ago, Elmer Gallardo (FAM.ST11) was one of the members who witnessed a landmark event in the company’s history, from the strategic partnership with FPT in 2021 to the complete merger into FPT in 2023. This was not only a significant milestone for Intertec but also marked the beginning of an exciting new journey for Elmer, allowing him to access global-scale projects in a multicultural environment spanning from the Americas to Vietnam.

As a software engineer from El Salvador based in the Costa Rica office, Elmer clearly felt the changes within just a few months of joining FPT: he participated in major international projects, accessed advanced technological platforms, and collaborated with outstanding colleagues from Costa Rica, Colombia, and Vietnam. Over 250 other Intertec employees also chose to continue with FPT, forming a united and dynamic team – a clear testament to the appeal of the global working environment that FPT is building.

For Elmer, Costa Rica is not only a land of beautiful nature but also a place that helps him find balance between career development and enjoying his personal life.

During the challenging period of the pandemic, Elmer maintained a positive spirit, connected online with colleagues, explored local culture, and quickly integrated into the new community. He shared that FPT offers many development opportunities through training programs, modern technology platforms, and a friendly working environment that respects differences and encourages creativity.

Currently, Elmer is participating in software development and testing for the client Prometric, contributing to expanding FPT’s market share in the Americas. This work not only helps him improve cross-cultural communication skills but also trains him to collaborate effectively in a multinational environment. After working hours, Elmer enjoys Costa Rica’s unique “Pura Vida” lifestyle, learns the local language, and explores the country’s magnificent nature.
