FA.APS wins Third Prize at the FPT AI Open Hackathon 2025 Finals
On June 25, the final round of the FPT AI Open Hackathon took place, featuring nine competing teams from Vietnamese startups and two representatives from FPT, with the support of 20 leading technology experts from NVIDIA and FPT. Among them, the FA.APS team from FPT Software proudly secured Third Prize with their project “AI Code Generation for Embedded Testing”, which focuses on applying AI to automate the testing process of embedded systems in the Automotive sector.
Over the course of two days at the finals, FA.APS and the other competing teams showcased their talent in solving real-world challenges across various fields such as healthcare, finance, and climate. Amid a “forest” of innovative solutions, the presentation of “AI Code Generation for Embedded Testing” drew strong interest from the judging panel – with five out of six judges posing in-depth technical questions. When asked: “Can the architecture of your solution be applied to other problem domains, and does it comply with industry standards?” the FA.APS team confidently responded: “Absolutely! However, we will need more time to test and evaluate the solution after actual deployment”.
The AI Code Generation for Embedded Testing solution developed by the FA.APS team effectively leverages several automated testing frameworks such as SWTBot and Random Test, enabling comprehensive automation and optimization of the creation and execution of test scenarios. A highlight of the solution is its ability to automatically generate code and test scripts, helping detect errors early in the development lifecycle even within Agile models. Moreover, the system is capable of collecting and aggregating error data from open-source communities, enabling it to issue early warnings to test engineers or users via an automated bot.
Upon completing the presentation, Ms. Nguyễn Hải Linh – NXP ODC Tools Domain Owner and the team’s acting captain – shared: “We felt very confident during our presentation. The solution we developed has strong real-world applicability and can be implemented in large-scale, diverse projects. This also helped us maintain our composure throughout the competition”.
FPT AI Open Hackathon 2025 is a large-scale technology event jointly organized by FPT Smart Cloud and NVIDIA, aimed at promoting practical AI applications in enterprise environments. The competition was held in a hybrid format, combining in-person activities in Hanoi with an intensive mentorship program led by international advisors who supported the teams throughout the development of their solutions.
At the finals, the First Prize was awarded to the Vinmec AI team for their AI solution that analyzes X-ray and CT images to assist in diagnosing medical conditions – a critically needed innovation in the healthcare sector. The Second Prize went to VietinBank’s team for their AI solution tailored to the finance industry.
