FDN, together with FME and LCG, successfully acquired UAE customers in the OutSystems fixed-price segment
After seven months of piloting, the fixed-price project for developing a mobile application for UAE businesses using the OutSystems Lowcode platform has received high praise from the customer.
The Mubadala project, initially valued at 33BMM, was expected to be completed in five months, with three releases in April, May, and September. However, project scope expansion led to an extension of two months, with the fourth release scheduled for August 2023.
Mubadala, a major investment corporation, is exploring the potential of converting many existing systems to the Low-code platform. Their substantial source of work comes from various acquisitions and mergers.
FME and LCG secured the project by overcoming strong competitors, setting the stage for a fruitful partnership. The active engagement of the Mubadala team, even in the face of technical challenges and tight timelines, ensured that the project met expectations.
FME (FPT Middle East) and LCG partnered in the customer outreach phase and were selected as the vendor for this critical pilot project. FDN was invited to lead the project’s implementation, with Mr. Thiruvale Dhiraj Bhandary taking on the role of Program Leader.

Projects in the Middle East present unique challenges, including numerous stakeholders, dependencies, and cultural factors. FPT’s young development team and multiple participating units faced internal and external challenges. Despite these obstacles, FPTers worked tirelessly to deliver the project on time and with high quality.
The FDN.G55 team tackled the project’s initial challenge by applying Design Thinking Workshop to explore the product’s features and development roadmap. Collaboration across various FSOFT units required flexibility and proactive project management.
The project’s flexibility, dedication, and problem-solving approach left a strong impression on Mubadala. Their trust in FSOFT has grown, leading to expectations of further collaboration.
Deputy Director of FDN Thiruvale Dhiraj Bhandary expressed confidence in the project’s success and highlighted the collective efforts of the entire project team.
This project’s success opens the door to a strategic partnership with Mubadala Investment Company, migrating legacy apps to the OutSystems platform in 2024. FPT will continue to support the customer with FTEs and potential expansion based on project needs.
In conclusion, the project’s success highlighted the importance of analyzing project scope comprehensively, adhering to coding and architectural standards, and enhancing communication skills, particularly in the Middle East market.
Mubadala, with a business segment that spans various industries and assets totaling 276B USD, marks an important milestone in its cooperation with FSOFT (FME, LCG, and FDN).
“This project’s success is thanks to the collective efforts of the entire project team.” – Thiruvale Dhiraj Bhandary, Deputy Director of FDN
“We believe our cooperation will develop even stronger in the coming time, and there will continuously be business trips between the two sides to enhance exchanges.” – LCG Director Phung Viet Ha
Successful collaboration achieved by FME, LCG, and FDN in delivering the Mubadala project illustrates the potential for further cooperation and growth in the future.
