FPT Australasia attends AVPI 2025: When innovation connects Vietnam and Australia

Recently, Dr. Tran Vu Binh, Head of Consulting at FPT Australasia (FAN), represented FPT at the Australia–Vietnam Policy Institute Conference 2025 (AVPI Conference 2025), where leaders, experts, and policymakers from both countries gathered to explore new avenues of cooperation in the digital era.

Former Ambassador Andrew Goledzinowski AM shared: “Doing business in Vietnam is like crossing a busy street in Hanoi. It looks chaotic, but if you don’t dare to step out, you’ll never get to the other side.” This vivid metaphor sparked the spirit of stepping out of your comfort zone – a spirit that Vietnam is strongly demonstrating on the global digital economy map.

From a practical perspective, Dr. Tran Vu Binh believes that the future of technology in Australia can absolutely come from Vietnam – a country undergoing a strong transformation with advanced technological capabilities, a young engineering workforce, and persistent creativity. With experience in markets such as the US, Europe, and Japan, FPT is currently helping many Australian businesses accelerate their adoption of artificial intelligence (AI), improve data management, and unlock digital transformation opportunities in Vietnam – demonstrating that innovation is not a one-way street, but is spreading in both directions between the two countries.

According to Dr. Binh, this wave of cooperation is reshaping the future of Australia–Vietnam relations, not only in policy but also in strategies for technological development and digital workforce. FPT Australasia’s participation in AVPI 2025 reaffirms FPT’s commitment to connecting knowledge, sharing global experiences, and spreading innovation from Vietnam to the world, contributing to bilateral digital cooperation entering a new stage – one that is dynamic, sustainable, and mutually prosperous.
