FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh: “We must rapidly and decisively shift to AI”
During the early spring gathering at Hola Park on February 6, FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh emphasized the need for a strong and swift transformation towards Artificial Intelligence (AI), especially in light of the global tech disruption caused by DeepSeek.
At the Hola Park event, the FPT delegation included Mr. Truong Gia Binh – Chairman of the FPT Board of Directors; Mr. Do Cao Bao – Board Member; and Mr. Chu Quang Huy – FPT Chief Human Resources Officer. The tradition of giving lucky money remained a cherished cultural practice at FPT, with everyone receiving warm New Year wishes from the leadership, setting the tone for a year of new successes.
Alongside these heartfelt New Year greetings, the FPT Chairman also assigned a critical mission to all FSOFT employees: to proactively seize the opportunities presented by the AI revolution, particularly in response to the technological wave led by DeepSeek.
DeepSeek, a “low-cost” AI model from China, stunned the world at the start of the year. In the wake of this “seismic shift,” the FPT Chairman observed that FSOFT is now standing before an unprecedented opportunity—one year could be equivalent to five or even ten years of past progress combined. Only by capturing this moment can we achieve extraordinary growth.

“DeepSeek has paved the way, and now we are the ones harvesting. How will you reap the benefits of DeepSeek? There is only one way—to transform rapidly and decisively towards AI”, the FPT Chairman asserted.
Previously, at FPT’s kickoff meeting for the new year, the Chairman had also used the story of DeepSeek to inspire the management team. “Just as David used a slingshot to defeat the giant Goliath, DeepSeek achieved astonishing success without requiring vast resources. This serves as a powerful motivation for us. To achieve success like DeepSeek, it’s not about spending excessive manpower, money, or time, but about finding the optimal way to serve both our partners and ourselves. AI advances AI, we must move fast.”, he emphasized.
