FSOFT and Airbus re-sign cooperation agreement to promote digital transformation of world aviation industry

On November 4, within the framework of his visit to France, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended a Vietnamese-French business seminar organized by the Ministry of Planning and Investment and MEDEF International. The Prime Minister witnessed the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement on Skywise Applications Editors Partnership between FSOFT and the world’s leading aircraft manufacturer Airbus.

Under the agreement, FSOFT will provide and deploy a new set of solutions based on Airbus’ Skywise open data platform. With this suite of solutions, airlines around the globe can optimize their aircraft’s fuel consumption, reduce operating costs, and integrate various functions for logistics, supply chain, air traffic management, logistics, Cabin crew, aircraft maintenance and route planning, etc. Based on technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, Cloud, etc., FSOFT and Airbus are also expected to help Airbus achieve maximum competitive advantage on the recovery journey, business development in the new normal.

The solution suite is expected to be launched in early 2022 at the latest, aiming to support more than 140 airlines and 9,500 commercial aircraft worldwide.

Sharing about this cooperation agreement, FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh said that this cooperation not only demonstrates FPT’s digital transformation capacity and position but also contributes to promoting economic cooperation between Vietnam and France as well as accelerating the digital transformation of the world aviation industry.

Currently, FPT has more than 100 highly specialized aeronautical data engineers and 500 experienced software engineers in many aeronautical projects. With extensive expertise and proven experience in cooperation with Airbus over the past 4 years, FPT is confident in developing innovative solutions that enable aviation companies to realize their goals in the new normal.

FSOFT and Airbus began working together to accelerate the digital transformation of the world’s aviation industry in 2017, when FSOFT became one of the first partners to help Airbus launch the Skywise ecosystem in Asia Pacific. In 2019, FSOFT opened an office in Toulouse, France, to connect and collaborate better with Airbus in achieving its digital transformation goals. The two companies have partnered with a variety of technologies to help several major airlines improve operational efficiency, ensure complete data continuity, and save millions of dollars.
