FSOFT Da Nang has first ITIL 4 expert

After Mr. Le Hong Son Chippi (DPS.FMS) and Mr. Nguyen Nang Thanh (DPS.FMS), Mr. Dang Van Hung (IT.DN) is the third person and the first FSOFTer in Da Nang to obtain the ITIL 4 Expert certificate (ITIL 4 Managing Professional) for IT service managers. Especially, Mr. Hung obtained this certificate by self-study and online reviews.

ITIL 4 (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) is a globally recognized international certification for IT managing professionals and strategic leaders. To become ITIL 4 Managing Professional, students must complete 4 main Modules: (1) ITIL 4 Specialist: Create, Deliver and Support; (2) ITIL 4 Specialist: Drive Stakeholder Value; (3) ITIL 4 Specialist: High-velocity IT; (4) ITIL 4 Strategy: Direct, Plan and Improve.

After completing the first module – ITIL 4 Specialist: Create, Deliver and Support in May 2021, Mr. Hung continued to complete the remaining 3 certificates to become an expert in IT service management on July 28, 2022.

Joining FSOFT Da Nang since September 2013, Mr. Hung is currently an IT Manager at FSOFT Da Nang and also FSOFT HCM. Because of his heave workload, he chose to study online at https://www.diontraining.com/ for his own convenience as the study time can be flexible and prolonged and he was also supported with Take2 (free re-test if not passed on first try). That would certainly have helped him to be more confident when studying and taking the exam.

“Although I manage IT services within FSOFT, I still want IT to have standard activities. So I researched and set a goal to conquer this certificate to partly support my work and other IT members’ in general”, Mr. Hung said.

Talking about the difficulty in self-study, Mr. Hung wittily said, “Online learning does not have as many interactions as offline learning, so sometimes I had to listen to a part many times to understand it. But I was not discouraged and saw it as an opportunity to practice my English listening skills”.

According to Ms. Luong Thi Boi Ngoc (CTC.DN), offline learning for 4 courses of ITIL 4 certification costs about 160 million VND, while online learning is much more economical with the cost of only 66 million dong. In addition, online learning and its advantages of flexible time are very increasingly opted by students.
