FSOFT expands opportunities in Switzerland through technology and green energy

On February 12, FSOFT welcomed Swiss Ambassador to Vietnam Thomas Gass and representatives from the Swiss-Vietnamese Economic Forum (SVEF) to the Hola Park campus in Hanoi. The meeting aimed to explore cooperation opportunities in IT, green energy, and business connections between the two countries.

This event was part of a series of initiatives to foster economic collaboration, expand the Swiss business network in Vietnam, and develop IT hubs. Representing FSOFT in the discussions were Mr. Nguyen Khai Hoan – SEVP FSOFT, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Dan Phuong – Head of MCP, and Mr. Hoang Dong Tien – Vice BUL GHC.DHM.

The visit took place right after the Davos Conference, where FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh worked with SVEF on plans to organize the Annual Business Forum Switzerland-Vietnam in both countries. This forum aims to strengthen G2G and B2B connections and attract Swiss enterprises to invest in Vietnam, particularly in the IT sector.

During the discussion, Ambassador Thomas Gass proposed enhancing collaboration between Swiss universities and FPT University while fostering ties between FSOFT and Swiss business technology hubs in Vietnam. He also praised the modern, eco-friendly design of Hola Park and other FSOFT campuses, which G8A, a renowned Swiss architecture firm, designed. Additionally, the Ambassador emphasized the long-standing presence of Swiss enterprises in Vietnam, such as Nestlé in the consumer goods sector and various companies in urban development and energy.

Both sides agreed on the next steps for cooperation, including FPT’s collaboration with the Swiss Embassy and SVEF to organize the Annual Business Forum Switzerland-Vietnam and activities to celebrate the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2026. Furthermore, the Swiss Embassy and SVEF committed to supporting FPT in connecting with potential partners and creating new cooperation opportunities soon.
