FSOFT Launches AI Management System Implementation Project According to ISO/IEC 42001:2023
On the afternoon of April 14th, FSOFT officially launched the project to implement the AI Management System (AIMS) in accordance with the ISO/IEC 42001:2023 standard. The goal is to position the company among the top 1% of the first businesses in Vietnam to achieve this certification.
The project kick-off event was attended by CDTO Đào Duy Cường, CDO Nguyễn Quốc Đông, CAIO Nguyễn Xuân Phong, Head of FPT Group’s Quality Department Phạm Thị Quỳnh Vi, along with leaders from departments and units within the Delivery, BA, and PM teams responsible for AI-related projects.
Launched at the end of 2023, ISO/IEC 42001:2023 is the world’s first standard specifically designed for AIMS. It is considered a “guarantee” for a responsible, transparent, and risk-controlled AI system – factors that are becoming increasingly essential as AI becomes a core technology in fields such as finance, healthcare, and manufacturing.
The project is sponsored by FSOFT CEO Pham Minh Tuan and co-managed by SEVP Nguyen Khai Hoan, CDTO Dao Duy Cuong, and CDO Nguyen Quoc Dong. The Risk Management and Compliance Department (COOF GRC) along with the Software Production Process Department (SEPG) have been entrusted with leading the journey to obtain certification. Representatives from these two departments, Mr. Nguyen Ba Hai (SEPG.PRO) and Ms. Nghiem Thi Tuyet Mai (COOF.GRC), will oversee the project, with participation from the QAI, AIC, PRC, IT, iDO departments, and other relevant units.
After a period of preparation and self-research since January 2025, FSOFT has selected BSI – an organization with global experience in implementing management systems according to international standards – as its consulting partner. From April to August 2025, the company plans to complete the system documentation according to ISO/IEC 42001:2023 standards. The system will then undergo practical testing before entering the Internal Audit and Management Review phases in Q4. The ultimate goal is to pass the certification assessment (External Audit) by the end of 2025 – a challenging timeline that reflects the project’s high level of determination.
This is not only a system implementation project; conquering ISO/IEC 42001:2023 also demonstrates FSOFT’s long-term vision in developing responsible and sustainable AI. It further solidifies the company’s pioneering role in realizing international standards in Vietnam and staying ahead of global technology trends.
