[FSOFT Parents’ Day 2025] Whisper of love
Someone once said that the day you leave your parents’ home to chase your dreams is the last day you truly live at home. No matter how many times you return during holidays, things will never be the same. For Hoàng Yến and Trung Huy, among the thousands of colors in life away from home, the warmth and trust from their parents and family remain the brightest, making their dreams shine even more.
Mention Nguyễn Hoàng Yến (FME), and titles like “special talent,” “interview warrior,” and “talking machine” from Miss Universe 2022 may come to mind. With a strong foundation in social activities, cultural conferences, and international academic competitions, Yến transitioned from a Data Analyst at FSOFT HCM to an AI Consultant at FPT Middle East. She describes herself as someone with many dream, often beyond her reach, and says she’s always driven by the question “why,” constantly seeking ways to turn them into reality.
Her journey has always been accompanied by the presence of her parents. Without imposing or opposing, they quietly stood behind her, supporting her in their own way with trust, “even if they don’t always understand everything I do.” As a strong and independent woman, Yến believes this is what worries her parents most, that she might feel lonely and pressured by her own choices. “Still, I always believe that no matter how far I go, my parents will be watching and silently supporting me. That unspoken love is etched deeper in my heart than any words,” she shared.
From dreaming of a room full of toys and superhero DVDs to chasing big life ambitions, Trung Huy (DXG) now defines his goals with the phrase “become the best version of myself.” Like many young people, Huy has had different goals at different stages of life. But like Yến, his greatest fortune is having his parents by his side. “They always say ‘Yes’ to me, not out of indulgence, but out of absolute trust. That respect and belief gave me confidence and responsibility in every life decision,” Huy said.
Even while studying and working far from home, Huy feels his parents’ love in every short phone call and every care package packed with meat, fish, and vegetables sent from hundreds of kilometers away, silent hugs wrapped in hometown flavors. “Those simple reminders and caring gestures are a huge source of encouragement for my long journey ahead,” he expressed. When asked about how he shows affection to his family, Huy shyly admitted that actions speak louder than words: “I cherish every moment with my parents, even if it’s just helping them use ChatGPT, set up the SmartTV, or subscribe to Netflix. That’s happiness to me.”
As Huy grows up and carries his dreams and his parents’ hopes with him, he also carries their teachings: “A person’s value lies in diligence and responsibility. You must be thorough with small things to succeed in big ones.” That advice has become his guiding principle in life.
Like flights filled with eager eyes and joyful anticipation of new journeys, there are always those who don’t take off but remain quietly on the tarmac. The journey of “contributing intellect to the development and progress of society” for every FSOFTer is always accompanied by the steadfast support of their parents. On FSOFT Parent Day 2025, let us express our gratitude for the love and upbringing of our parents and proudly introduce them to the workplace we call home.
