FSOFT represents Vietnam at Choose France Summit 2025

On May 19, 2025, as part of the high-level Choose France Summit hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron at the Palace of Versailles, FPT Executive Vice President and FPT Software CEO Pham Minh Tuan represented FSOFT as the only Vietnamese enterprise invited to attend. The summit brought together hundreds of global business leaders and investors, aiming to foster international collaboration and attract strategic investment into the French economy.

Beyond enhancing FPT’s brand presence in the French market, the event offered a valuable opportunity to connect directly with top-tier multinational corporations. Within the summit’s agenda, Mr. Tuan and Mr. Christophe Schwanengel – CEO of FPT Software France – participated in a series of high-level B2B meetings with potential partners, including GE, IVECO, EssilorLuxottica, Publicis, and more.

A key highlight was the direct meeting between FPT Software’s CEO and Ms. Sophie Primas, Minister under the Prime Minister and Spokesperson for the French Government. During the exchange, Mr. Tuan reaffirmed FPT’s strong commitment to long-term investment in Europe, especially in France, a strategic market in the group’s global expansion roadmap.

FPT expected that the French Government would help facilitate connections with strategic partners across three key sectors: Energy, Transportation, and Healthcare, including major corporations such as TotalEnergies, Air France, EDF, Thales, and Sanofi. FPT is open to all forms of collaboration – from strategic partnerships and joint ventures to mergers and acquisitions, following successful precedents such as the AOSIS acquisition in France and RWE IT Slovakia.

At the summit, FSOFT’s CEO also emphasized the critical role of education and technology in FPT’s sustainable development strategy. With the philosophy of “fail fast, learn faster,” FPT leverages Vietnam’s young population (average age 33) to grow rapidly and adapt swiftly. The company has established specialized faculties in AI, semiconductors, and automotive technology to stay ahead of industry trends and address the growing demand for high-quality talent. FPT seeks collaboration with French universities in the education sector to launch student exchange programs and promote STEM education in Vietnam.

With robust software development capabilities across sectors such as automotive, healthcare, ERP, and energy, and a presence in 30 countries worldwide, FPT is well-positioned to support French businesses expanding into Vietnam, Asia, and global markets.

Concluding the meeting, Ms. Sophie Primas highly praised FPT’s role, stating: “FPT is truly a promising gateway to the Asian market.” She also affirmed that the French Government would actively support FPT in connecting with major French enterprises, as proposed by Mr. Tuan.

On the occasion of President Emmanuel Macron’s official visit to Vietnam scheduled for May 25–27, FPT expects to collaborate with the Vietnamese Government to organize the Vietnam–France Leaders Forum. The forum aims to lay a foundation for a sustainable Vietnam–France business community, paving the way for broader bilateral cooperation across economic and trade sectors shortly.
