“Happy Footprints” had reached the mountainous border of Thanh Hoa

Over 500 students and teachers from Quang Chieu Secondary School, Muong Lat District, Thanh Hoa Province, donned FSOFT’s HAPPY GIGA RUN shirts to continue the “happy footprints” in the charity run event “Together, we do good”, held on the afternoon of September 27.

The event was organized through the collaboration of FPT Japan, the Hope Foundation, the “Happy Giga Run 2024” program, and FPT’s Community Fund at FSOFT. A new sanitation facility, valued at 265 million VND and sponsored by the Hope Foundation and FPT Japan, was handed over to Quang Chieu Secondary School, providing the students with a clean and modern space to ensure their health. Additionally, the team donated 20 sets of desks and chairs, a 55-inch television, and hundreds of meaningful gifts to the students and the school.

According to Mr. Mai Xuan Giang, Vice Chairman of Muong Lat District, the locality has 32 schools with more than 10,000 students, 80% of whom are of Hmong and Thai ethnicities. Quang Chieu, being a remote border commune, is fortunate to receive attention and support from the Party, the State, and various organizations.

For the first time, the teachers and students of Quang Chieu wore blue shirts and joined hands in the “HAPPY GIGA RUN” event organized by FSOFT. Hopefully, these blue shirts will continue to accompany the children, encouraging their love for sports and raising their awareness of physical training to maintain a healthy body, supporting their academic endeavors.

Expressing his emotions upon receiving both material and spiritual gifts from the FPT/FSOFT team, Principal Doan Van Son shared: “The support from the charity team has given us extra motivation to continuously improve the quality of education and enhance the health of our students. Seeing the children happily receiving gifts and participating in the run with the team fills me with immense happiness”.

We are fortunate to have the opportunity to contribute to the sanitation project for Quang Chieu students while participating in the HAPPY GIGA RUN. We hope that the students can improve their physical strength, have fun, and build stronger connections, enabling them to embrace the opportunities and challenges ahead in both their studies and life”, shared Mr. Trinh Van Thao, Human Resources Director of FPT Japan, after running alongside the students.

Building on the success of 2023, FPT Software continues to organize the “HAPPY GIGA RUN 2024,” aiming to spread the happy footprints of FPT members worldwide. In celebration of FPT Software’s 25th anniversary, the HAPPY GIGA RUN 2024 will continue to bring forth beautiful values, contributing to a happier future. Each employee, along with their family, friends, customers, and partners, will help promote the love of sports and join hands to carry out good deeds for the community in 30 countries and territories where FPT Software is present.

Accordingly, the running events will be combined with various community activities, sharing the company’s responsibility toward society, such as charity programs for children and the elderly, blood donation drives, beach clean-ups, and tree planting. After the program in Muong Lat District, Thanh Hoa Province, “HAPPY GIGA RUN” will continue to follow FSOFT’s charity teams around the world, spreading goodness to life – “TOGETHER, WE DO GOOD”.
